You flush dog poo down your loo if you like mine goes to the landfill .
the people who come to sort drains out like to find ways to blame the customer so they can charge you. The neighbours had a shouting match with them last year and they drove away without sorting the drains.
Donât believe it they may say they are flushable but they donât decompose ( at least not for years and years meanwhile they will block up the sewers)

@AnnieS ,. "Do bears have flushable toilets in the woods ??
Of course not Annie !
But bears dont feel compelled to always poop in the same place !
We are the only species that insists on that, the others do it ad lib and it
never becomes a nusiance, in fact it can be beneficial to the enviroment if
the animals are allowed to roam freely ??
Donkeyman!
Apparently people should be using a washable flannel as an alternative
Cats and dogs like to poo in the same spot. As do foxes. Our raised beds are testimony to this. Seems fox poo is superior to dog poo and doesnât need to be binned.
Because foxes only eat meat , so their bodies utilise nearly all of it so their is less waste ,so less poo domestic dogs are fed all sorts of stuff cheap kibble bilked up with grain that a wild dog would not eat .
So their bodies expel much of it . If you feed your dog raw meat itâs poos are smaller .
Foxes eat more than meat. Particularly those living in cities. Any bin bag is testimony. The poos on the raised beds are much bigger than the dogâs.
But nature did not intend them to eat out of bins Annie .
@AnnieS ,ââcat and dogs do pooh in the dame placeâ
Most mammals do use their excretions to mark their territory, so yes, to
a certain extent that is true, but as their territory can extend for several
miles it never gets concentrated !!
Donkeyman!
Sorry Annie, but I canât agree with that. The chap wasnât blaming me at all, in fact he was a very pleasant and helpful young man. He told me any more trouble and I am to call them straightaway. Whatâs more, they didnât charge me a penny either.
And lastly, any wipes I use go into nappy sacks, never down the loo. So it was nothing to do with wipes blocking the sewer in my case.
If your neighbours had a shouting match with him, I am not surprised they never got their job done.
Muddy, I always use these ones. They sell them at Pets @ Home, or you can send off for them.
(Not that I compost the dog poo anywa).
I have some Beco toys for the dogs as well.
Have a look:
Itâs a funny thing when I last had a dog nobody picked up their dog poo but these days just about everybody does. The council even provides bags at the dog parks. Generally speaking it is not an issue here (of course there are always the odd exception)
Different dogs, different habits. Two of my kids dogs rarely poo when out on walks but they have gardens to play in but my youngest sonâs dog always (and I mean ALWAYS) does at least once. I wonder if it is because he lives in a flat so takes every opportunity.
no badgers here only foxes and squirrels. Definitely fox poo. The neighbours have a thing for feeding foxes and other wildlife. Foxes eat al fresco next door then poo on our raised bed. Despite all efforts the foxes still get in. They are totally determined to poo in the same spot. Dog would explain further if he could only type.
Try sprinkling pepper .
Fair enough Mups. Your drain people sound much nicer than ours. It wasnât the neighbours who were swearing. The shouting woke me up but the people shouting & swearing were the drain team.
I havenât heard of this Muddy. But would the potatoes like it? I put a fence of garden canes around the raised beds but the foxes are so determined they broke through on one of the raised beds. Iâve not had this problem until this year. I think I may just give up the raised beds and stick to the tomatoes in pots on the extension roof where foxes are not a problem.
Believe me that it was very much concentrated on one raised bed. I think it was to annoy our dog.
