Can you get 7% beer? I thought that over about 5.5% the alcohol kills the yeast.

Yep, 10% used to be the max, till it was banned, lethal in the wrong hands.

Can’t stand beer in cans, always buy stubbies or long necks myself. You also have to beware of beer in 330ml bottles, what a rip off that is!

With a can you have to go by feel, as you can’t see the cantents 
, if someone askes "How much have you had? you “Can” reply “about half a kilo”

I have a whisky or two over Christmas and one to see the New Year in. Not a wine drinker. I like my beer but limit it to a 500ml can of 5% beer every other day. Having said that, if the occasion arises, I wouldn’t strictly stick to the ‘every other day’ rule.
I would probably drink non-alcoholic beer on a ‘no alcohol’ day if someone brought some around but any soft drink is good enough.

I find this one from Aldi quite acceptable. They also do the same beer in 4 can packs at 4.5% strength.
