True. I used one with five vowels today and found that it only has one vowel.
Thereafter it took me all six goes to get the answer.

I’m wondering whether some of these are real words…
The only words I recognise from that list is 1,2,6 & 7.
If I’m playing online scrabble or Words With Friends, I sometimes try putting the letters together just to see if they are accepted and I’m sometimes surprised to find words I’ve never seen before - I’m sure some of them aren’t in my OED!

Does Wordle tell you if it’s not a real word? I’ve not been brave enough to try putting any old jumble of letters yet.
Yes it does. I’ve done it and it says not in word list
I agree, though I recognise ‘LOUIE’, but isn’t this a proper noun. Are such words acceptable.
None of the others mean anything to me.

However if it is a proper word, but the wrong one, you’ve lost a go!

I think it does, yes - I have mis-typed a word before and it doesn’t accept an incorrect word (I mean a word that doesn’t exist) it doesn’t use a line either - you just have to use the Back/delete arrow on the keyboard to remove the letters from the line and type a proper word.
