Where Do You See The World In 20 Years?

I worry for my grandkids too but I expect every generation says that.

I think Putin is itching to use a nuclear weapon so maybe that will be the end of us all…or at least life as we know it.

I tried to be optimistic Art but honest I couldn’t think of a thing to be optimistic about ::frowning:

@Bruce, Some how l knew you’d say summat like that Brucy !
So you think putting a lot of postmen out of work is progress do you ?
Donkeyman! :-1::thinking::-1:

Technology is improving almost on a daily basis, so we have no idea of knowing what our children and grandchildren might have coming to their aid. Since the industrial revolution, mankind has progressed in leaps & bounds so for all we know the future could be bright and yet to be unveiled.
Once the Mother-ship arrives and beams us up, everything will be revealed :ok_hand::+1::point_right::wink:

It will be just the same.

Well the UK is being colonised and I’m glad that I will not have to suffer from the awful consequences. My kids and their kids are preparing to relocate to what will be a safer and better country in the coming few years. I hope to live to see them safe from what is definitely coming down the pike in the lost UK.

I agree with morty about wokeism and not feeling able to voice an opinion unless it complies with the woke.

I’m glad I won’t be here to see it , the changes I see these days annoys the life out of me.

Hopefully humans will go extinct and leave the planet to the animals its humans who are ruining a beautiful planet.

Sorry Angel for my doom and gloom but this is my thoughts on the matter.

I see humans evolving, I dread to think what into though

Oh dear, comprehension has failed you again, Assman. I can only presume you are referring to this:

Not withstanding that there is no suggestion that that either was a good or a bad thing merely that no one predicted them however aren’t letters the very things that keep postman in work? How you managed o come up with the suggestion that I wanted to put a lot of postmen out of work from that comment defies belief.

I would suggest to you that OGF and myself are the only members of this forum who have actually been postmen

Sometimes Assman you really need to engage your brain before you rattle off your nonsense

You are perfectly correct. Until the end of WW2, this country has been involved in wars all over the world which, in one way or another, have affected us in this country directly.
Since then, though our armed forces have gone to fight abroad, we have not been directly affected.
I feel very fortunate to have been born when I was.

If they don’t have an obvious lumpy front, I often get confused :astonished:

I agree, and have said before.
Ignoring the rest of the world, I’m afraid that this country and the people still living here have little to look forward to.
I believe that the ‘invasions’ which have been going on for the past few years will continue as none of our leaders seem at all concerned about the consequences.
Even if some brave soul did do something to stop it, I think that it is likely to be too late anyway. We have become a mixed race society and, although most of us manage to get along with each other well enough, there are extremists on both (or many) sides who are determined to pull the country apart.

Sad, because I see other countries - Switzerland is an example - which seem not to suffer from such things and also appear to be very much more law-abiding and peaceful.

That’s because the people living in Switzerland for the most part consider themselves Swiss first but retaining some of their traditions second. It was the same with our lot. Came to the UK and became British first with traditions very much second. The colonists that have been coming to the UK over the last fifty years plus are hell bent on taking over and to hell with the UK laws, rules, traditions and especially religion. Same with some other Western European nations. For example Sweden is awful. We are quite literally being colonised.

I think in 20 years time all cars will have wheels that turn sideways & just slide into a parking spot.

I think they will have found a cure for cancer & Alzheimer’s.

I think they will have legalised Euthanasia.

I can’t see it NOW where is it??
