I buy canned pineapple rings if I am having a BBQ because they go nicely on a burger. I blame my daughter in law for this, she liked fried pineapple on a burger and converted me to them.

Beef, bacon, cheese, egg, onion, pineapple and salad burger? Love 'em, food of the gods

On the other hand I cannot stand beetroot on a burger.

sorry for all who like Hawaiian Pizza… pineapples do not belong on a pie. That kills the taste for me … for me I like that pizza full of pepo;s and peppers w/ extra Jalapenos
.

Let’s face it we British are a nation of offal eaters.

I remember many years ago ordering pizzas and some of them had pineapple on them. I would pick off the pineapple. :slightly_smiling_face:

They would eat you given the chance…That’s how nature works and keeps recycling.

Anyway why make animals out of meat if you weren’t supposed to eat them?

I am with you on that one, I never order pizza with pineapple - I like them, like my women, hot and spicy.

That is true. In our countries (e. G. Germany) there are no animals left who could eat us, except maybe some few wolves.
Apart from that, I decided about 12 years ago that I do no longer want to to be part of that animal mass production industry with all its impacts on the environment.

That is not nature.

The problem is Frank, there are just too many of us to feed, so the laws of nature have to be adjusted…I’m not saying it’s right.

I dont know if its true but i have read that a fully grown cow can feed a hundred people [lol] but the food that animal eats in its lifetime would feed a thousand people…
veggie grub is getting better, but still has some distance to travel to get me off chicken…

That’s where we benefit Crabby, I can eat most food, even veggie or vegan if it tastes nice. But veggies or vegans can’t eat what I eat.

Welcome to Australia…

That’s the only drawback for me about Australia. To much stuff wants to eat you or poison you…
I like to spend lots of time out in the wilds, it wouldn’t be so enjoyable if there was a snake, spider or croc around every corner…
:open_mouth:

The worse thing that can happen around here is that you get shat on by a pigeon…Really annoying…

Freshly caught mackerel…a different kettle of fish.

I find it fascinating … easy to say I suppose.
There’s lots of midges in Scotland, certain death :skull_and_crossbones:

Hmmm, spicy yes. :slightly_smiling_face:

There are so many ā€œVeggie Meatā€ products on the supermarket shelves now one has to read carefully what exactly they are. Easy to pick up a pack of Veggie Sausages thinking they are meat based.

Savvy Aussies know of the dangers and take precautions. Those that are taken by crocs were not smart enough.
Those that are taken by sharks know the risks of going in the ocean.
Those that are bitten by snakes are just super unlucky.

I eat tinned sardines, tuna and salmon, not so bad. tinned salmon and tuna needs plenty of herbs and spices to make it palatable.
