When it comes to food, what do you find inedible?

You never eaten a Witchety Grub?
Cooked on the open fire?
Tastes like scrambled eggs.

Worth a try Bretrick, I’ll have a go at most things as long as they are cooked…
:yum:

If I lit an open fire in my neck of the woods and proceeded to roast grubs of any variety questions would be asked.

I really don’t want to be some kind of celebrity in the local press

I’m the shy retiring type.

I spent a few months in Turkey. I was invited for dinner with about half a dozen managers. We had the initial course of raw cauliflower. Or I thought it was. It was sheep’s brain…

As soon as I saw Turkey, Sheep’s Brain came to mind. :joy:
Sickly and disgusting.
How was the taste?

Brains! another delicacy denied to me, very hard to get these days. Pig or sheep I don’t mind.

Thank goodness heart is still easy to get!

I’ve mentioned it before but my one gastronomic failure was some deep fried cockroaches and grasshoppers I bought from a stall in Cambodia. Total failure! I just could not put the cockroaches in my mouth.

Quiches, more than one piece makes me feel sick :face_vomiting:

There wasn’t much taste - it was the texture or rather the absence of it.

Stop it. :grinning:I am reading this while having a meal. Biryani Rice and a fresh Paratha. :yum:

Love me a quiche. Thrown together with what ever is in the fridge, and those erbs and spices found in the back of the pantry. :grinning:

Sweet potato, swede unless it’s mashed with butter and milk. Celeriac. Other veg is ok.

Not my favourite either.

Plantains…I have tried but not for me, too slimy and waxy.

I’ve tried belly pork Foxy… twice , it’s just horribly fatty.

I agree Chilli, I once ordered it in a restaurant by mistake, it doesn’t seem to have any nutritional value whatsoever…And it doesn’t taste of anything.

I wasn’t in the army Crabby, but there isn’t much food that I don’t like and I’ll have a go at anything once…Belly pork failed it’s one chance. So if I want to keep the contents of my stomach in place I’ll pass on the Belly pork.

Soup is just a more healthy version of a microwave ready meal. Depending on the soup, they are packed with a selection of healthy vegetables and it comes in a can ready to be warmed up in a pan on the hob. A couple of slices of toast and that’s lunch for me on most days. I don’t like beer.
