There is a problem with Victoria: Nice costumes an’ all but it can get a bit wet, lacking old fashioned discipline, stiff upper lip, true to the era.
@Rose2 have you seen The Empress? Same era different dynasty

Yes, I understand what you mean, still loved it though.
No, I haven’t seen The Empress, I’ve seen it on the list, I’ll probably get round to that one soon.
I’m more into “modern” series at the moment.
Dare I mention Squid Games season 2? I’ve started watching but think this will end up in the “continue watching” queue.
I’ll look out for it. Thanks
Thanks for that recommendation
I agree with @d00d about the “Missing You”. I’ve read the book and watched the series - excellent.

I’d though you’d mentioned it … somewhere!
I think I have bookmarked two threads for Netflix so I have unbookmarked the other one. My mistake.
Watched the film Money Monster last night.
I enjoyed it, different! Maybe some people can learn a lesson from that. I love George Clooney and Julia Roberts anyway.
Seen that Rose , i think we all can learn from it
I am a bit worried at the moment, I am getting close to the end of series’ that I have been watching for months.
First off “Big Bang Theory”. I fully expected to abandon this about series 8 because usually US series tend to go downhill until they are cancelled but this one seems to find new legs every time, I think I have only half a dozen episodes left of the final series.
“Sheldon” - am not so keen on this series, too much reliance on Meemaw for my liking I may not watch it all but in the absence of something better it is OK
“Overlander” I started to watch this years ago (before streaming I think) and frankly could not understand why she had to come from the future so abandoned it before the end of the first series. Anyway for want of something better I started watching it again and am now on the final series and have enjoyed it - more so as it has gone on.
“The Perfect Couple” - so so. I am preparing to watch the last episode - it is not bad, just not as good as I expected.
On Prime I am watching “Bones”, very so so, I think after 2 months I am up to Episode 4 or 5. too many miracle discoveries on unexplained machines.
Tried “House” not for me - too much of the star trying cures everybody thought too dangerous blah blah (New Amsterdam looks similar) abandoned it after a couple of episodes.
I hope I find a good half hour series with a lot of episodes soon (Upstart Crow was good but I whized through that too quickly)
I used to find Big Bang irritating when it was on the telly. But after watching Young Sheldon I was intrigued and gave it another chance. Turns out it was really good. Some fantastic little humorous gems in there and it made geeks a bit less uncool, spouting some unlikely fashion trends. One totally irrelevant thing I found fascinating was watching them pretend to eat. I understand that in a lot of shows actors do not put food in their mouth because they can have so many takes it would make them ill. Big bang makes an art of moving food around on a plate with a swagger.
In Young Sheldon Missy is also a great character. I also loved his interactions with school teachers and professors.
Possibly the best.
I was looking at that wondering whether it might be worth watching. Will check it out thanks.
I watched 10 or 15 minutes of that recently: didn’t like it!
Persist.
