Today on an elevator into the casino, two gentlemen laughed at my comment that this was the winning box. They complimented me on my attitude, and one even rubbed my arm and hoped that my positivity would rub off. It seems they enjoyed the light heartedness.

A couple of women about 20 years younger than me said they loved my clothes, I always look nice and I look “arty”. Happy with that!

Ah, remember my one. One of the ladies in the cafe a couple of weeks ago, said I had ‘really helped her last year’, when she first joined. She had had a terrible time with a plumber leaving them in the middle of bathroom works, (and out of pocket). I think just that she was made to feel welcome by everyone, and to sit and have a drink and chat with other ladies. I didn’t do anything special. But it was a compliment and appreciated.

One of my grandsons said “Grandma,you are the kindest loving grandma ever,and i love you very much,why are you so kind ?”.
I was too choked up to reply,so i gave him a hug.

It looked like genuine surprise when I told a regular visitor to the house I was about to turn 79. She thought I was older …I mean younger 
Helped some friends sort out a few TV problems. It’s a long time since I retired from that job. I told them that I wasn’t so useful at it now. An emphatic “You are!” but I guess that only because I sorted things out. If I hadn’t, they’d probably have been saying, “He’s not as useful as he once was” as soon as I’d gone.

Someone said on knowing my age. “You certainly don’t look it, I have thought you were late 60’s”. I am pretty certain they meant what they said too.
