What time does your post arrive?

My post just arrived through the door!

At 4:15pm! :open_mouth:

5 letters - 3 important, 2 not so much.

But c’mon…the postal services is bad enough with every other day now, and just a one time occurrence even then…but its almost tea time!

It can be any time from as early as 9:30 am to lunchtime and that’s with the same postman.
It’s a rarity to receive mail much after midday here, though I do remember reading that Royal Mail are looking at stopping Saturday deliveries.

We never know what time our postman will arrive as there are three of the who call at different times.

The earliest has been 9.30am and the latest has been after 6pm.

What?? Nooooo! That’s outrageous :open_mouth:

I believe that was only during the worst of the plague - due to staff shortage. Was talked about here - but never happened!

Usually here before lunch time, but a few times afternoon. When I get any that is. I really must write to some of my pen pals.

Not a set time here, from 8am to 6pm you just never know. Luckily we have a place the postie can leave parcels if we are not around.

Royal Mail is usually about 10:30.
UPS, Hermes, The Meat Man and various others can me almost anytime…

10:00 if it’s just letters, 14:00 when it’s a parcel (the postie knows that I’m out of bed by then …)

Our post used to come at lunch time delivered by a postman with long hair and a droopy moustache who stopped to chat to everyone .
He donated a kidney to his brother and retired early, now we get a delivery before 10am.

Our postman is bald and wears the most outrageous odd socks with shorts. See him coming a mile off. He talks to the pigeons and local cats who wander about. :open_mouth: Maybe that’s why he is so late these days…busy feeding the waifs and strays!

Nope, sorry.
Not about Covid but about being able to continue providing a service long-term in the face of a changing market.

They’ve been talking about stopping Saturday deliveries for a while as part of costcutting stuff, like here from the Beeb in November:

Then in July a few places said it again, including The Sun:
