When I was a mere teen, every Sunday while waiting for the roast dinner that whoever was cooking if it wasn’t mum (yummy yum, lovely smells drifting up the stairs), I used to put my record player on (showing my age), lie on the bed with cucumber on my eyes and a face mask.
When I was an adult, I used to lie in a steaming hot bath with my face lathered in oils, and the sweat ran down my face from the heat and steam. Then after about an hour I’d reluctantly get out and splash cold water on my face, then moisturise.
Now I’m an old fart I don’t do anything except wash my face in cold water, every day with soap if I have had make up on, then moisturise.
One occasion my daughter gave me a pressie of a facial. First one I’ve ever had. Lovely and relaxing it was too. My skin felt lovely after, but didn’t look any different.

We could have been sisters Pesta! I was the same. Sunday afternoon was pamper time from age 15.
It’s an effort but worth it!

After a glass of wine I realized that this facial party would be better for tomorrow. With the time differences we couldn’t sync this
Plus I think I’ll make my facial stuff ahead of time so the ingredients have time to do their thing before putting on my face. I might whip it up in my kitchenAid so it’s all fluffy.
Yayyy.
That’s my plan anyway.

We could do it on my lunch which would be your dinner ; supper. Maybe? Or report back at our convenience.
I’d like to do mine at lunch time. It’s too cold at night for a facial considering the area under the mask

haha for a while there I thought I was reading the real life Whatsapp group I have with some girl friends. During the first lockdown we also planned a facial and wine night on house party. Didn’t quite work out as a facial thing but we did have some wine

I was going to make a Mayonaise and honey face mask at this planned event last year. Mainly because those were the only two ingredients we had in the house given lockdown shopping shortages etc. I will have to give it a try sometime as it is meant to be really good for your skin. Plus an added benefit is that if you get hungry you can just do a slurpy like scooby doo :
