We had a Relationship with various anomolies:-
One of us thought they ran the house, the other one knew she did!
One us thought they were clever, the other one knew she was.
One of us thought they were rearing a fine set of the Children, the other one knew she was.
One of us did the Cooking & Mending, she knew I was useless at that.
One of us enjoyed keeping up with members of the Family, well, that’s what Ladies do?
I could go on!

Rather than trying to describe what qualities in women I am attracted to, it would be easier to specify two particular women who between them hold the attributes that I am most attracted to. These are, Judi Dench and Sandi Tosvig. What a woman looks like, is of secondary importance. My track record relating to the appearance of those I have personally chased after and courted would probably indicate that I prefer those who some might well call ‘Plain Janes’.

I dont know how I missed this thread but it’s just appeared before my eyes after 86 replies. I must be blind !
So , qualities for me would be, kindness , empathic, nice eyes , and generous of spirit . To be good at DIY would be a good tick box too .
Having once been married to the meanest man I’ve ever known kindness is a big tick .
Dont think it will happen now though after 18 years of living with myself they say threes a crowd

So with time, one revises one’s list ever so slightly.
Some added qualities, are someone who is mature and wise enough to exercise restraint in life and not be someone who just blows hot air.
Kindness and nice eyes .
A man like Mr M in fact .
DIY is not his thing he can do it but this needs large quantities of nagging even then I’m not sure I will live that long .

Kindness is a definite prerequisite for me as well but beautiful eyes are a nice plus also.

I must mention, someone who isn’t too quick to judge. I hate judgemental, condescending people who fly off the handle without taking time to understand and consider different perspectives. So now my list has 14 qualities and it’s growing all the time.
