Every.Single.One, Roj!
The Rockford Files. That was a good one too.
I remember that…
Hart to Hart came to mind after you wrote that…were they on around the same time, I wonder…but that was a good show.
Probably.There was Cannon too.
Doesn’t ring a bell with me…what was that one with the policewoman…Jill Gasgoine…gah! What was her name…The Gentle Touch, that was it!
Cannon was a fat American PI
Yep, he drove a Cadillac or one of those American cars with the spare wheel designed into the trunk.
Edited.
Not sure if it was shown over here…I was very young…and was inspired by strong women Cagney & Lacy too…
Blimey! Your list is solid and includes a lot of my favourites!
I was over there when I watched it
I did not see many episodes, I was out, searching for a strong woman.
Any luck?
Yes, in a limited sense.
Laramie
WagonTrain.
The Virginian
Rawhide
Cheyenne
Bonanza too …loved that series
Well I miss one that isn’t on any channel. It was an american series called thirtysomething and was on in the early 90s. Probably forgetable for most but I used to really like it. The other one was Dallas.
I wasn’t a big TV watcher before. I just started to take it up in the last year or so. I’m just starting to watch the ones on your list.
I just binge watched the Fringe series. Liked it. I’ve been watching Columbo in fits and starts whenever I feel like watching something easy to watch. I’ve never seen Dr. Who and have it on HBO Max, so that’s on my list. I didn’t care for the pilot of Luther but maybe it gets better. I have Criminal Minds on my list. That one is on a free service, I think. Babylon 5 is also on my list, also on HBO Max. I have the Star Treks memorized. That’s the only show I used to watch on repeat. I’m hoping that Castle starts streaming somewhere. That show is on all my recommended lists but is not streaming anywhere.
I’ll look the rest of your list up. I share some of your taste in shows. Thanks for sharing it.
I liked thirtysomething also. It was a coming of age show. I liked how the characters would talk to the camera as narrators. A little angsty but still fun.
Good to find someone who has heard of it! Apparently it was inspired by the film “The Big Chill” which I also loved.
What about Kojak? A blast from the past. We used to watch it as a family when I was a child.
