I have never liked wine red or otherwise. If someone brings me a bottle it has usually turned to vinegar before I find someone to give it to.
My youngest son loves wine, my old man only drank wine and whisky but I dislike the stuff.
My old man did it regularly (he lived at Folkestone) but usually brought back a barrel of wine which he then bottled. When he died my brother and I took many hundreds of bottles of wine to the dump because there was far too much to give to relatives (had no trouble giving away the dozens of whisky bottles though)
