What is your favourite breakfast?

Haha. :joy:

French Canadian :grimacing::face_with_spiral_eyes:

Us too but we are a very multicultural society

Maybe that’s what was on our pancakes when we were younger. It was good.

This thread makes me think of this song - eggs with a kiss that’s perfect :

On Shrove Tuesday my kids used to invite their best friends round to see me toss the pancakes because their friends, being a Macca’s generation, had never seen it done. They then gorged on lemon/sugar pancakes.

As an aside there is an Australian saying, “If you have to buy lemons then you’ve got no friends”. Pretty true.

Oh I see ! :+1:

My favorite breakfast is waffles, pure maple syrup, fresh fruit cup, and sausage. Don’t forget the coffee.

What about creamy oates, banana, bacon and a heavy drizzle of maple syrup…? Goes good I tell ya

My usual breccie is fairly simple. Three Weetabix blitzed in the blender and mixed with whole milk to form a creamy wheat porridge. Then I top it off with copious amounts of full fat set yoghurt and my fruit choice for that day. That usually keeps me going 'till 10:45 to 11 and then my daily apple will keep me firing on all 12 cylinders until lunch time at 13:30 :+1::notes::grin:

The one thing I hate about Weetbix is that it absorbs milk and becomes like this if you don’t eat it straight away. While I do break the biscuits into a few pieces I don’t add milk until ready to eat it.

Horses for courses.

I had sourdough bread toasted with smashed avocado and a poached egg on top for brekkie today at work, love our canteen, they do such healthy nutritious food and it’s free!

That was my brekkie for ages but I changed to fruit juice which seemed much better, my doctor said it was all that vitamin C and sugar but personally I think it was the vodka.

I do not normally eat breakfast as nothing leaves me feeling hungry all day, like starting it with food. But as a, later in the day meal, the all day breakfast has to be my favourite.

When hgv driving i had some great breakfasts at roadside cafes from one close to the entrance of Southampton docks, to the cafe at Liverpools meat market, to the Carlisle truck stop & a cafe in the Maryhill area of Glasgow.

I eat cereal with fruit. Sometimes toast with a dollop of honey if I’m being lazy with the fruit chopping. Followed by a smoothie. That does me all day until teatime.

I have porridge with oatbran and bran made with water and lots of fresh fruit on top.
Hubby has 2 shredded wheat and muesli with milk and the same fruit as me.

Here’s my breakfast
Between us both we have, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, pineapple, strawberries, cherries, half each a peach, nectarine, plum, pear, apricot, kiwi fruit a few grapes and 2 cape gooseberries each.

Does anyone like George Egg, the snack hacking chef? He does some weird stuff but some of it is so wrong but so right

He did these for his friends wedding breakfast, complete with Frazzles on top! I might give it a try, but without the seeds

I’m like you EZ, I find it difficult to eat breakfast
On work days I try to get at least a yogurt down me. I have swapped to the kefir ones recently which seem lighter and I add a handful of fruit sometimes.

In a hotel I tend to go for Eggs Royale or Eggs Florentine.
Rarely, I will make my own Brunch version which has a sourdough toast base, a scraping of cream cheese like Philadelphia Light, a thin layer of smoked salmon, two perfectly poached eggs and a generous crack of black pepper. Yum!

My friend and I went for a walk in the park yesterday and treated ourselves to breakfast in the cafe

Breakfast in Yorkshire pudding anyone

Fresh orange juice (MUST be fresh), black coffee, fresh (from frozen) croissants. Nothing greasy, at least not for many years. Was a time I did like a proper Ulster Fry when working in Ulster. Four nights staying in Carrickfergus then three nights home.
