What is your Comfort Food

 OMG, Oh So Funny!

Yep, that just about sums it up

I am sure it is fine, as I say it is what you are used too, Britain got used to bread in sausages during the war and have stuck with it.

I remember M&S sausages were delicious, and also the smoky bacon rashes! :yum::bacon:

I was rather partial to these back in the day…

I’m sure the entire range isn’t still available but I believe the treacle one is :yum:

The “Spotted Dick” stands out!!

It always did but I much preferred lashings of hot treacle on mine…

Body temperature treacle on mine.

Google AI says:

The bread or rusk helps to absorb excess fat and moisture, retain flavor, and bind the ingredients together, contributing to the sausage’s texture and preventing it from becoming too dry when cooked.

Tradition.

It’s easy to analyse the physical attributes of sausages, but it’s hard to put your finger on the emotional attraction.

You know it makes sense.

Love this stuff to bits!

You dont drink soup you eat it ?
Yes √
No ?

Ice cream is very comforting in this kind of weather.
The ginger nuts are more than acceptable with a little spread, a small slice of cheddar and topped off with half an olive.
The sweet and the savoury, it’s a question of balance :yum:

Ice Cream … I love Whipped Ice Cream Cone with A Flake . I bought an Ice Cream maker a few years back & gave it away to Charity Shop . Now I wish I had kept it :smiling_face_with_tear: However I can always buy another .

Ice Crean always on my shopping is All Seasons of the year. Cannot seem to get Bannana Flavour tho’ for some time now.
I’m eating a Gry’s Cadbury Bar with my Machiata :coffee: as I type

I stopped buying ice cream when I started reading the ingredients, even on the premium makes too ultra processed.
Ice cream is so easy and cheap to make, you need a blender and a freezer.
Take 2-3 bananas, chop into circles and freeze. Add an equal or slightly more amount of frozen fruit, I’ve used mangoes, pineapples, blueberries and my favourite raspberries. Add about half a cup of soya milk and blend together.
Put back in freezer but take out half an hour before eating.
Totally natural, no additives and cheap ice cream.

Thank You … Will try that one :shamrock:

We avoid that processed ice cream too … have chilled Kefir on our fruit everyday.
