Makes the best marmalade it’s a bit bitter to eat as is

What’s the water Tessa?, resevoir?,lake?

Yes Caricature, Cheddar Reservoir.
The funny pointy bit on the far hills is Crooks Peak.

If I’d walked backwards further up the slope I’d have fallen into The Gorge.

Thanks,we visited many a moon ago, couldn’t recall any water, obviously away from the gorge.

Yes, near Axbridge.

Took this a while ago.

Carrying on with the water theme…

I took some piccies of my new hot water tank which arrived today.

Downsized from the leaking 315 litre tank. Oh the excitement!

Looks strange to us in the UK as our hot water tanks are indoors. What happens if it its cold or freezing outside?

The actual tank is inside the outer case and well insulated so it doesn’t matter if it is cold outside. Personally I wouldn’t want the tank taking up room inside the house I don’t know any house that does. My daughter and a son’s house have “instant” hot water systems but they are outside too in Canberra where it does get below freezing.

When I bought this house it had a separate laundry built in the garden which had the hot water tank in it but that is old fashioned now. Mine is an off peak system so it only heats up at night.

A lot of hot water tanks now use the heat in the air to heat the water like an air conditioner or fridge backwards you definitely wouldn’t want one of those in your house they are quite bulky.

I’m guessing it need pumping to where ever it’s call to.

No it’s a mains pressure system here. These tanks actually have a pressure reduction valve on the inlet.

Another set of flying ants ready to go.
