Very good Tess!
in answer to the thread heading and didn’t specify stills only, I decided to see how good a reproduction the Nikon D810 videos are
Your dog is very sweet.
Neither are in focus, but it was tiny. This little hover fly kept following me up the side of the house, so I took pics of it.

Does it really matter if they are in focus or not? you have got a couple of photos of a really difficult insect to photograph. The thing is you got the photos and that is the point, no one else was there to do better or even get a photo.
Your dog is considering the next move very very carefully.
Thank you, RS.

A quick trip into Glasto today, my favourite shop The Cat and Cauldron has closed down so I didn’t stay long.
Snapped these with my phone on the way back to the car.
Making a note of where these are, lots about this year. I will take a bag tomorrow
Super photo’s Tess. I have a lot of the latter in my garden.
I like the character on the black bricks.
… a couple from my little backwater today …
In answer to the heading been trying an experiment on my Nikon D300 camera. Seems this camera version is susceptable to temperature change which can lead to the rear screen going faint over a period of time. This is what has happened to mine to a degree… I have the choice of sending it away for a new back screen-opening up the back of the camera to see if i can clean it up a bit- or the third alternative “Trick” which I am trying.
Again reading up sometimes enclosing it in a plastic sealed bag with silica gell sachets draws out the moisture in the camera and clears the screen.
So far this is what I have done for the last 3 days and fingers crossed it seems to be working to some extent. According to what I read it can take a few weeks so that is where that camera is going to stay.
There is no effect on the picture so no issues there.
