What have you done with your camera today

Video unavailable…

Just a mo forgot to make it public, should be there now

OK now Mags? best seen full screen

I have used Corel Photo-Paint and Corel PaintShop Pro to do that sort of thing in the past RS. It’s an interesting exercise. These days …well, I tend to just let whatever is in the scene stay in it.

That is something I have always wondered. Should a photo reflect what you see or unwanted objects like dustbin be taken out because it distracts from the overall look?
When some send away photos for printing I ask myself " how do the printers know they are reproducion the exact colours as seen when taken?" They can’t, may get close but it is only the person taking the photos really knows.

This is why I prefer to print my own, yes more expensive but also more correct

Why not download OBS to take these videos? you won’t get the flicker or reflection and it will improve your videos no end. Easy to use but plenty of tutorial videos on Youtube. It’s free and open source.

Bruce Thanks for the pointer. I think it is only twice I have made a video from the monitor ever, so downloading another program only clutters up the computer SSD drive “C”. As soon as I have finished and want to keep all my videos and photos go on 2 internal and one extrnl backup drives . Don’t backup so much now on the DVD discs.
I could have altered the FPS on the camera betweem 24 and 60 fps or even the shutter speed if I had used the Nikon D810.

this was a quick camcorder short, just a demo not a full production commercial so I wasn’t too bothered.

But thanks again for the heads up

What indeed! I spent from 2pm to 4pm in the garden waiting for the last QANTAS Boeing 747 to fly past on it way to the Mojave Desert to be parked.

It was supposed to go past at about 2.10 pm but I waited and waited and followed it on Flightradar24

The bastard seemed to do its best to avoid me. This is the full shot with the lens at its most telephoto!

I rushed to the front of the house to catch it disappearing over my neighbour’s roof.

It circled round before flying north even farther away.

All in all a very unsatisfactory event :frowning: I must admit I was expecting it to fly between me and the escarpment but it didn’t.

Women drivers!

While I was waiting I took some other pics.

Some kumquats on my tree at the bottom of the garden.

A Willy Wagtail on the fence a few doors down.

…and some shoes on the power lines.

All good stuff there.
I used to repair photos some years ago. It was not as easy as what you used Realspeed.
I can’t remember what the program was that I used, but the results were fantastic. They were all old black and white pics.
It used to impress the people that I did it for.

Photo taken today while out on the bike.

I was worried enough about the angle of this tree that I told the relevant authority about it. They said it is fine but I wasn’t so sure.

Well, that must have been about 5 years ago, so it looks like they were right after all.

Sat in the garden and happened to look up.
