Yes of there was a like button now would be the time to use it
On my walk this morning I captured an event that only occurs once a decade or so.
FROST!
Not only that my breath was visible and my hands were cold!
Hate it. Bring back global warming I say.
Did that bring back memories of the good old UK, Bruce?
Ha ha Yes, though it seemed to be far worse then my abiding memory of school in winter was wet socks steaming on radiators. Britain seemed totally unsuited to its winters though if Grand Designs is anything to go by it seems to have got them sorted now.
When my kids were little they used to get so excited on those rare cold morning when their breath was visible even if it was only for a fraction of a second.
Another cold morning tomorrow too - according to the forecast minimums are 7° below average.
Been up to the city this morning …
Wow! Bruce, that is a surprise, never thought Australia got frost, though I guess in the mountains, Brumby country it does snow. I read the books.
great action photo ,well captured
HaHa you’ve probably got one of those cameras that do 120 frames per second.
Whatever … that’s excellent.
Beautiful cat, reminds me of my Sam
Cats can be a tricky subject, best outdoors on an overcast day when they stay still with a pleasing background.
Here are some more, posted before, I think …
Great photos of Leo, d00d - he looks very relaxed in those pics.
Thanks Mags and Summer.
Frost in Oz? should be banned
Nice shot - crisp and clear.
Thanks d00d - actually, it’s only 15 frames per second
Thanks RS.
Don’t live in Canberra it was -6°C this morning. Then there are the ‘Snowy’ Mountains… Once away from the coast remember what you learned at school about a continental climate even the deserts can get down to freezing at night.
I agree, though where I live it only happens very rarely - like once a decade, I think the average minimum temp is 8 or 9°C
Thanks … it shows good colour contrast, an in-camera HDR.
A single shot would be sharper.
After using a dslr for many years, and amazed by its max 6 fps, I’ve recently bought a mirrorless that does an amazing 30 fps. And I’d just been reading about a sony that does a staggering 120 fps (too fast?) when I saw you image.
Great if you remember to switch it on every time you come across a kick boxer.
