Max getting his teeth into the new toy a neighbour sent.
I visited Stonehenge today.
Came across the dog fence - it’s over 100 years old and the road is pretty rugged too.
How you stay in touch in remote areas and how this message got to you.
BTW there is no blue sky like an Australian blue sky.
Oh yes, The local pub…
The whole town consists of a pub, a community centre, a caravan park, mechanic, an airstrip and half a dozen houses.
I envy you your blue sky, Bruce
Are you off on one of your trips again?
Just a quickie to get away from the cold. Probably only 10 days or so to western Queensland, so far I have traveled over 2300km. Just watched the sun rise over the bush, there is nothing like it.
If you are interested you can read all about it here:

An interesting journey Bruce, do you plan out exactly where you are going or do you go wherever your car takes you?
You certainly appear to come across some interesting buildings, machinery, signs etc along the way.
I did this with my camera yesterday, so a day late…
I took a photo of these flowers in the morning (growing in the allotment)…
…and this heron in the afternoon (along the canal bank)…
Edit: and these swans…
This trip was totally unplanned, usually I have a goal for example my Cooktown trip but this time I just wanted to go somewhere warmer in a very limited time. So basically I just set off travelling north and because I prefer the outback to the coast I also headed slightly west.
Whenever I arrive somewhere I immediately find the tourist information office for a local guide and to find a caravan park or camp spot. When I am driving I keep a lookout for signs which might lead somewhere interesting - sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t.
Better put up a photo, These are entitled, “Why I have All Terrain tyres”
Actually I lost the track a couple of times but backtracked and found it again (why I carry spare fuel, water and a UHF radio), I don’t think I will die of boredom just yet.
Here is a picture of my car enhancing the bush with its beauty.
I climbed to the top of this hill this afternoon for the view . There is still life in the old dog yet because it was a scramble but it was worth it absolutely nothing else man made visible in any direction, just a lot of nature.
Paignton Zoo.
I really love this thread.
:shock::shock:
Lovely photo d00d- very sharp focus and lovely background to intensify the white of the shroud. Startling image. Respects d00d - an image for a competition methinks.
Great pics Bruce, you are having an exciting adventure, nothing comes close.
Either that or jail
Thanks toners
The sharpening tool had heavy use, and I converted to B&W to eliminate distracting background blobs then cloned them out.
No persons were harmed in the making of this imagery.
It was a charity shop window display. There were two of them!
Well spotted D00d.
The mannequin under all that cloth must be really manky for them to cover her so fully.
It’s a charity shop, everything’s manky, but I appreciate the arty input.
