What have you done with your camera today

Been to https://whitecityplace.com/

Nice they allow dogs in.

Are you the good looking guy with the beard & the dog?

I am in Mudgee, a pretty little town in the middle of a wine growing region.

Just back from Scotney Castle in Kent, not even got memory card out of camera yet

Normally I use a 24-70mm lens when there, as per below. (previous visit)

This time I decided to take a 70-200mm lens and glad I did to get shots of a section of the turret without any editing except from RAW to Jpeg. Standing right below it this time by the seat

The place is a photographers paradise

Mudgee looks cool Bruce.

… couple of good captures there Beso.

I have notices recently that my Nikon 24-70mm lens on the D810 the photos seemed slightly of focus. Maybe because after it was dropped by me the repair altered it a bit.

So this evening I got out my Spyderlenscal and set up to recalibrate the camera to the lens.
With the camera on a tripod and a wired remote shutter release and the target set up I took a few test shots. it seems the camera/lens was out by 2 bars in the camera fine tune.
Now with it recalibrated time for a couple of test shots.

Best is to test against brickwork as below (unedited) handheld

well that certainly looks sharper

so what about a flower

Now the colour red was always a struggle on the D800 until I had it repaired after the drop.

But what about on this Nikon D810 (again unedited)and hand held

Not too bad, doing the fine tune calibration seems to have made an improvement

Thank yo sir.
