What have you done today?

Took advantage of the cooler air and stained this door.

baht clarts, lol our Judd, made me chuckle

What have I done todayā€¦finished my afternoon training yaaaaay, I work mornings but needed to learn afternoon jobs just in case Iā€™m needed if more than one off sick.

Off home in 25 minsā€¦ done and dusted

Phoned our local IT fellow because Iā€™m having problems getting Vā€™s computer, my computer and our new printer talking to each other via the router. Also, when watching TV via Freeview, the video stalls but the audio carries on - disconcerting. (The router and TV/smart recorder are in line of sight of one another.) Unfortunately, I had to leave a message; now Iā€™m waiting for a call back to arranged an appointment.

A day of cleaning. We have a visitor this weekend.

I short drive to Chichester to take my SIL back home.

I wept when I discovered that my Mickey Mouse Crocs had broken

Aaw, thatā€™s sad Bruce.
Shall we have a whip round and send you another pair?

Oooo look, I found you a nice new pair!

I bought mine in Malaysia for about 10 Ringitt ($4) they were on special because most Malaysians donā€™t have feet for size 9 or 10 shoes

Painted a weather board on the house before the sun gets around to it and its too hot, S/SW facing .

Watered the garden .

Today we went to visit Ozzieā€™s mum in hospital. It was intended to be a surprise visit. When we got there the nurse suggested that should not go in. The lady got Covids in the hospital. We went back home. Then my wife and my sister went to Aldi. I declined.

Up early and out on the road for 7:00 amā€¦Managed 22 miles on me bike along relatively quiet country roads. I say quietā€¦This youngā€™ish rider passed me after about 15 miles, and after a polite good morning, he set about disappearing into the distanceā€¦I gave chase, and stayed with him for a mile before my legs turned to rubber and I had to let him go. That wasnā€™t the last time I saw him though. As I neared home with two miles to go, he was stopped at the side of the road. He saw me approaching and set off. Again I took his wheel and stayed with him. I realised why a rider in the Tour-de-France goes back for a colleague who has broken down or crashed, and helps him back to the peloton. Itā€™s far easier to work together than try to do it solo. It was only as we approached my village did he eventually power away from meā€¦A couple more weeks of training, and Iā€™ll Avā€™ imā€™ā€¦
:biking_man:

Talking of which, do you think these riders are on a little boost of something, take Pidcot up Alpes DHuez like a whippet, next day also ran, yesterday Mathews not a climber but out climbed the climbers !

Pidcotā€™s climb and stage win were mind blowing stuff caricature, and from ā€˜Leedsā€™ as wellā€¦
The following edition on ITV 4 highlighted Pidcotā€™s rise to success and is surely a future contender in the tour. I donā€™t think any enhancement was used as previously on the tour he has made a bit of a reputation as an attacking rider. Mathews has been plugging away on the tour over the years and does have quite some experience, perhaps it was his fifteen minutes of fame and he will disappear back in the peloton for the rest of the tour. Although, is he something of a good time trialist? I look forward to seeing more of Pidcot however. He seems to have a good personality and sense of humour. My choice for the eventual winner would be Podacer. I think he has the edge on Vinnegartā€¦Donā€™t you just hate these hard to spell foreign namesā€¦ :flushed: Fred Wright should come to the front, he British and easy to spellā€¦
:sunglasses:

Pidcot is a world champ and a gold medalist Olympian so hes good, I think vinnegar has the upper hand and team to deliver him .

Me and my friend a lovely lunch out in a little cafe/restaurant just up the road from me at Uphill wharf, with gelato for pud and a walk with sea views after

Nice dog friendly place, they even had a doggy treats menu :dog:

I really donā€™t know why I go on holiday sometimes, when we live here!

Today I bought a kilo of minced beef from the Polish butcher, always good.

Iā€™m done with tinned tomatoes so bought four big proper tomatoes.

Four onions, four cloves of garlic, paprika, secret ingredients.

Yummy supper. And four more meals in the freezer. Yay ā€¦
