And what I have done today apart from that was a good long walk with the dog to clear my mind.
Been out with a friend - I bought a cushion with a tiger on it - spent Ā£13. She bought 2 x 2 seater leather sofas - one with reclining features - spent Ā£4000.
Had lunch in Wilkos - never again - letter to Head Office on the way.
Had coffee in The Range - looked at standard lamps to go with friendās new sofas - didnāt find one.
Came home - fed cats.
Bought this Tiger
Walked the dogs at 6am. Now let the day beginā¦and hopefully the fun.
Yesterday ā¦ took Mrs d00d to a pre assessment for a bunion op sheās having tomorrow.
(Would be nice if the nhs employed some people that speak English)
Took the dog out before the heat of the day gets too fierce
Quite a painful op I understand but a good result. A young girl in our village had it done, she was only in her 20s but had huge bunions.
i agree about the english language. Poor English speaking skills makes both the member of staff and the patient feel uncomfortable. My late Dad just said āyesā to everything when he was in hospital because he said it was embarrassing to keep asking them to repeat themselves.
Fed the cats - cleaned their litter tray.
Put the recycling boxes out.
Did my physiotherapy.
Had breakfast - tuna, horseradish and scallion sandwich.
Did the Wordle thingy.
Uploaded some photos for the ā30 days wildā project
Thought about doing some housework - made another cup of tea instead.
Wandered into here!
Had a shower.
Packed all my holiday stuff.
Took a brand new dress off a coat hanger and the shoulder seam started coming apart. Took it back to the shop and they were lovely and knocked me Ā£19 off it (it cost Ā£59) and the lady put a few stitches in it and itās perfect now.
Dropped daughter at health centre and from today nobody has to wear a facemask!!
Going to get fish and chips for tea and try to persuade the others to have an early night as we have a 6am flight tomorrow. Only 30 mins to airport.
Not taking IPad but several books.
I went to the opticians, first time since lockdown
I had the extra scan etc and itās always a bit of a relief when they donāt find anything wrong. My friend has macular, another toxoplasmosis so I was a bit nervous
Anyway, all was well and apparently Iām less short sighted than I was 3 years ago! Apparently that happens as you get older
And I chose a cute little pair of glasses from the Kylie Monogue range
Had a very long walk this morning with Max minus Ozzie. My wife stayed home because we had some deliveries from the mail lady. Then I went to the convenience store - the lady up the street wanted a few things. She is not very well so we do what we can to help. The we had the meat man delivery. They have excellent produce. We had some Angus Aberdeen burgers it our Jubilee and some of friends wanted us to get some. So we did. Had lunch and then sat in the garden with a cider. Thatās it.
Yawned quite a bit. Too early to do much else really.
so far ā¦ dropped Ms d00d off at hospital for day surgery on foot, bought petrol at Ā£1.85. home for breakfast ā¦
Three mile walk and jog up the lane and home for porridgeā¦Time for my meter reads to be sent to British Gas as soon as Iām finished on hereā¦Ug!
Paid Gas and Electric Bills onlineā¦not too bad.
Gas was just a fiver more than at the same time last year, although I had used slightly more this year.
Electric was almost seventy quid more expensive than the same time last year, and I used less this year.
But all in all, not the shock I was expecting.
Phew!
just back from daily walk so another discipline done
Did some washing.
Returned something to Pets @ Home.
Called in the Co-op for a few bits.
Cut my grass.
Finally got my Runner Beans poles in ready for the beans now.
Stayed in all day because its like Winter out there. Blustery winds and lashing down rain.
Fed cats - cleaned litter tray
Did some Physio
Had breakfast
Mended a pair of trousers
Sewed the lace back on a petticoat
Went for ECG
Did some shopping for a neighbour on my way home
Heading for a pot of tea now!
So today we delivered the meat man items for the ladies at the end of the street.
Then we walked the dogs for a bit of a long walk around one of the playing fields. We usually meet the regulars, a lovely bunch. But there was a new boy and new dog on the block. An aggressive little monster clearly totally out of control. I grabbed Max by the collar just in case. Then we strolled on but a few rather pointed comments were madeā¦
Then I cut the grass - takes an hour or a bit more. Then we repotted some plants. Then I sat down in the garden for a beer again.
Thatās my early morning constipational done. Sorry, that should read, Thatās my early morning constitutional done. Now let the day bring what it will.
