What have you done today?

Off out on the bike again today and then a visit to B&Q …
I just love these shorts :hearts: See if I can find a pair for jogging in…
:open_mouth:

Shorts

Not keen on the belly jewelry though.

Steady on, Foxy, you’ll give yourself a boil. :grimacing:

I can’t say really, I was always a point to point cyclist I used to cycle from Brixton to SW1 to my job in the 70s and cycled 14km to work every day from 1980 untiI retired.

Originally I used a racing style bike but after my first back operation I could no longer stand on the pedals to grind up hills so I bought a hybrid for the wider range of gears so I could sit going up any hill.

I rode the Sydney to 'Gong every November for a couple of decades when it was a 94km ride.

I do have a mountain bike that I bought second hand for $50 but my hybrid and it are still neglected in my garage.

Bruce, leccy is the way forward, you can still retain the right to pedal, as you say in post 378. if you want exercise make things difficult so, you can switch the motor off and pedal, on a lightweight stock ergonomic machine with an 5kg battery, and a 5kg motor on board.

Today I did some chores, did some much needed grocery shopping and watched Netflix. It’s a riveting life…

Are you feeling any better? Don’t go overdoing things before you’re well enough :018:

Unfortunately my bike had got a flat tyre Harbal so I didn’t manage to get out.
I decided to purchase two new tyres and tubes because the ones on the bike are older than Tom Jones.
The bloke at Halfords told me that the tyres he sold me would fit…They didn’t! So I took them back and the correct tyres will be here next week sometime.
I put a new tube in the flat one and put the old tyre back on the rim. If they are still pumped up tomorrow, I will try again…

Went with my daughter to take my granddaughter to her swimming lesson this morning. Took them back home after and stopped for a cuppa, then asked her what she had planned for the rest of the day?Nothing important, she replied, so I said, shall we get cracking with all your IKEA furniture that needs assembling?

So that was most of the rest of the day taken up - I would have got it finished much quicker, but I snapped a crucial piece of dowelling in half, so we lost time while Mr B fashioned something for me to use, then brought it round, and it was too fat, so off he went home to file it down. We stopped for lunch at daughter’s house, and got started again with make-do dowelling Mark II afterwards. Furniture all in place now, but not quite finished - there are 3 more door units and 2 drawer units to assemble in the Kallax units, but by this time my back was giving me hell, so I called it a day. Now her recycling bin is stuffed to the hilt with cardboard, haha!

Did some hard landscaping, this may be the last time.

Two words - Tyre liners. Fitted all my bikes with them and never had a puncture since, was able to stop carrying a spare inner tube under the saddle.

It was a 94 degree F day, so I went to the casino! Didn’t do too badly, either. Came home this evening with two meals from coupons, and a happy feeling. A nice day!

The tyres are better looking though!

Thanks Bruce, the tyres were well worn and needed replacing anyway, but I’ll look into the tyre liners thing…
:+1:
Put the old tyre back on yesterday and it was still pumped up to pressure this morning so I managed to get round 11 miles out in the country. Legs a bit wobbly (it’s been a while) but a nice Sunday lunch washed down with some claret should put it right…
I might be absent from the forum for a while…
:wine_glass: Cheers…hick!

Got up at 8 and went to car boot with a friend. Bought a book for son and Canned Heat CD. Came home and had to put something cooler on as it got out really hot. Told son that I saw Canned Heat in concert in 1973 wearing loon pants and a black T shirt with embroidery and mirrors!

poached some chicken fillets and made a big Coronation Chicken with pomegranate seeds and flaked almonds on top. It was lush! 5 of us for lunch.Followed by Honeycomb icecream and a Vienetta.

Now in summerhouse reading and messing about on here.

Had a few drinks with neighbours out in the garden. They buggered off. Cooked duck with rice, one of Ms d00d’s favourites. She’s washing up. Could get lucky. Ha!

The dogs and then the dog for a long one. Then F1. And now the sprinkler for the new lawn.

@Harbal - Behave yourself!
