It’s good growing veg but some colour is needed in spring. In the back garden i grow fruit and all i can see is green for most of the year.

Helping hubby clear up the trimmings of the pyracantha hedge, finished that so i can get on with what i want to do.

I saw my 1st Carrion Beetle , I put it in the front garden away from harm . It made a buzzing sound when i tickled it .
Many garden centres are selling roses at half price. My three new ones are waiting in deep water. I shall be planting them later after they have a long drink.

Stripped back around four square metres of sunken turf, infilled with five sacks of topsoil and then relaid the turf. Just got cleaned up and tools away when we had a real heavy shower, perfect, what timing…
Planted some bulbs
Went to see my friend Marion and planted some foxgloves and a verbena bonerences plants for her. Pruned her roses and made a hedgehog house out of some house bricks and then covered it with any vegetation that we could find.
Pulled up a lot of ivy and cut back a blackcurrant bush that got forgotten about and put a lot of old compost around 1 rhododendron.
