…a new sink and tap in the kitchen, I am sick of it dripping and yes it has been mended by a useless plumber.
A puppy, how I long for the scent of a puppy’s soft head…
Repairs to Chloe come first and that means raiding the new sink and puppy fund.
So I will just have to hanker for now…

My kitchen tap is dripping too! The drip noise is so annoying!
I am not wasting the water though. I catch it in various jugs and pour it on my plants. I can’t waste precious water.
I would love a puppy too but l have now got used to going out.

As I go out & about I notice over 50% of people are still wearing masks - even outside!!
Carol, I imagine they are scared. Even l put one on in the shops, or enclosed spaces.
I am not sure if it’s because it’s a habit or l am still frightened of catching it?
I’m the same, Carol…I would love to feel as relaxed about going places as I once did!

I think if l got a puppy, l might be paranoid that someone would steal it. Isn’t it awful that you feel like that these days.
I hanker ( funny word ) for quiet and to hear birdsong aand to see the stars from my garden none of which I have .
I live in an over lighted housing estate so even on the darkest of nights I only see a handful of stars . I have 24 hr traffic noise as a busy main road passes my front door and 500 yds as the crow flies is a busy relief road so the traffic noise is loud . There are few trees and few birds but occasionally I hear a blackbird .
Yes I hanker for starlit skies , quiet peace and birdsong .
Susan, how comfortable would you feel taking a break somewhere quiet, like you describe? It sounds lovely!

Schnauzers are lovely - my friends have two. One thing I have noticed about them (the dogs, I mean) they have a very intense stare!
I ‘hanker’ for the ‘chief’ …especially during the hay fever season.
