What Do You Hanker For?

Minx

Aw Minx  I miss my Dad too…

Hanker after? A Berni Inn, preferably the one that used to be in The Rows in Chester. The Criterion it was called. Prawn cocktail, fillet steak and chips, and apple pie and ice cream with Irish coffee. Memorable muchly!

Thank you :grouphug:

For heavens sake Arty, we live on an island and are surrounded by water, and it rains for ten months out of the year…:069: Aren’t you taking it to the exstream…

I hanker for the days when I could have a lovely long bath. These days it’s out of the question - if I manage to get in and sit down, it is all but impossible to get out again. I did try a couple of years ago, and I struggled so much to get out, it actually scared me, thinking of the time in France a few years ago when I slipped trying to get out of a bath and broke a couple of ribs.

So I’m doomed to have showers only. They are simply not the same :frowning:

I wish I could turn back time and enjoy my life in the 90s again and forever. My window of time. Everything new, so exciting, lots of opportunities, no ailments, a hassle-free and varied life lived to the full. Yet it’s impossible.

I sometimes hanker for the time My 3 Children
were still at Home, the constant ringing of the phone, never knowing how many of Their Friends were staying over or how many to cook breakfast for,a door that constantly opened and closed all day…Then… I used to hanker for peace & quiet…now… I have far too much of it…Old age…who needs it

I’m hankering for a few days of dry, warm and sunny weather so I can take off my winter clothes. It’s August for God’s sake.
