Besoeker, I had to look up the meaning for the word “shipyard worker”. Now I understand what you stated. How interesting. I give you lots of credit for doing this at such a young age.

Yes, peanut butter and mayonnaise, especially on toast is to die for. :yum: As a matter of fact, that’s what I happened to had a little while ago, as I haven’t had that for quite some time, and it was delicious!

Well tank you, Domestic-Goddess but shipyard worker was Billy Connoly, not I. My field was electrical engineering and I was 23 by that time and travelled the world…

Which is why I cook them.
I only eat delicious food. :grinning.
My Breakfast go to is Shimmering Scrambled Eggs made with cream and crushed garlic. Served on toast spread with real butter and Vegemite. Topped with cracked black pepper and grated vintage cheese.

HelenP, years ago, I use to make 2 cold soups in the Summer, Chilled Blueberry Soup and Chilled Strawberry Yogurt Soup. They indeed were quite delicious! :yum:

Ooops! Sorry for the error Besoeker. :face_with_hand_over_mouth: I do apologize. How wonderful to know you were able to travel the world at a young age.

No problem ! Yes, the the travelling was interesting. One of the earliest visits was to South Africa when there was still Apartheid. This was a bit later and that was my tag :

Besoekeker, while I may not understand everything you say. I do indeed appreciate you taking the time to share this. And I appreciate that as well.

Well, thank you kindly Domestic-Goddless. I do travel but I don’t cook. But my dear wife is an excellent cook and is a Southern girl from Georgia.

How nice to hear that you are able to travel. Even though I haven’t been able to travel, I’m still hoping my husband will take us to Roswell, New Mexico. Yes, I hear southern ladies indeed are wonderful cooks. I assume your wife has then heard of Paula Deen, and both of her sons, Jamie and Bobby Deen? Both of her sons I hear are good cooks as well.

Definitely not. I hate cold soup, unless it’s gazpacho.

Yes, I will ask my wife about Paula Deen. I hope you and your husband will go to Roswell. I’ve been a places in USA - one was in Disney World that was in a business trip…

In a slightly different topic we had interesting lunch when we were Georgia. We had an Alligator steak. I had to try it! It was excellent…

Besoeker, when you stated that you had an interesting lunch, which you ate Alligator steak, and that it was excellent. You indeed are one gutsy man “a brave person to do that”. And I can’t believe my husband said he would try it. :flushed: :scream: NOT ME!

I feel I must apologize for getting off track with this discussion/topic: “What do you cook the most?” I guess it all depends on what my husband is in the mood for, as now-a-days, my husband has taken over in planning our meals, and if need be, we’ll cook together.
