Just bought Phillips Gregory Tidelands…I really like her books…also The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell never read her but it got good reviews…Will report back when I have read them.
Currently reading Don’t Blink by James Patterson & Howard Roughan
Get Off The Unicorn by Anne McCaffrey, for about the 4th time.
Just finished ‘Perfect’ by Rachel Joyce… I had not read her "The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry " but both books got very god reviews… It enjoyed it more that I anticipated. Anybody interested it is currently 99pence on kindle.
Restoree-Anne McCaffrey.
“Just Take My Heart” by Mary Higgins Clark, just finished, I nearly left it after the first chapter as it seemed boring courtroom stuff, but, it got much better, lots of twists.
Sadly the end was too rushed as seems the norm for many crime thrillers these days.
It just needed a bit more…
I’m nearly ½ way through Ellie Griffiths’ “The Woman In Blue”.
The Vine Witch
I’ve started this book “The Vine Witch” it is described as an adult fairy tale so giving it a go… a big departure from my usual picks. Have I lost the plot wuld like to know anybody’s view on this book…in meantime I will continue
Who wrote it please?
Luanne G. Smith
Just read a gripping new thriller from M. J. Arlidge, Sunday Times bestselling author of the Helen Grace series.
Adam Brandt is a forensic psychologist, well used to dealing with the most damaged members of society.
But he’s never met anyone like Kassie.
The teenager claims to have a terrible gift - with one look into your eyes, she can see when and how you will die…a really good read I loved it.
Also read Phillipa Gregory Tidelands… I persevered but it wasnt my thing… she admits its not her usual style … I was disapointed especially with the ending.
New Thriller!
I recently found a new writer Helen Fields, she has a series, starting with “Perfect Remains”, it has been a while since I read down this route but a French detective in the Scottish Capital, it was hard to resist…have read first 4… so far.
Thanks.
‘What a load o’ bowls or I’m all right Jack’ by Don East.
I picked this up for free at the short mat bowls club that I recently joined. Educationally and funny.
I am just now finishing up W.E.B Griffin’s “Honor Bound” 7 book series. Must be aprox 5,000 pages in total.
The “Honor Bound” books are set in Argentina during WW2. Griffin has taken real life historical events and real life people, including Juan Peron, and created a spell binding series of novels. Filled with, spies, an actual coup d’état, intrigue, assassinations, young love, Nazis, and a group of fictional characters and woven them together into a great read.
Jus read
The Japanese Lover by Isabel Allende.
I am currently reading Peter May’s “The Man with no Face”, originally published in 1981 it has been re-released, with a few updates and doesn’t read like an old book. A murder/crime book, it is set in Brussels amid all all the corruption, so no changes there then Have read quite a few of his books before and am enjoying this one too
I’m reading, " No Known Grave" by Maureen Jennings, who wrote “Murdoch Mysteries”, I love that program!
I read it before, got it from the library by mistake (I wish those machines would tell you that but, I’m enjoying it anyway. Good crime thriller!
You Were There, Too by Colleen Oakley. Fantastic read, I couldn’t put it down.
Acclaimed author Colleen Oakley delivers a heart-wrenching and unforgettable love story about a woman who must choose between the man she loves and the man fate has chosen for her, in a novel that reminds us that the best life is one led by the heart. …
I’m reading the family upstairs by Lisa Jewell…it’s the story of a baby left at a murder scene…on the baby’s 25th birthday it inherits the house where the murders took place and weird things start to happen…it’s good
