I bet your feet are tapping.
Please Forgive Me - Bryan Adams -
(one of the great songs, its on the radio at the moment and I always stop what I’m doing to listen to it)
Oh that was lovely, always watched the Muppets with my Grand-daughter Sophie, thank you for the memories.
Right Here Waiting - Richard Marx
Another from the excellent Denez Prigent & Lisa Gerrard.
From the film Black Hawk Down
…oh my goodness Bobby V sticking out petticoats and rock and roll ,
… I will be humming it all day now
No music here just now, I am listening to radio 4 which will be You and Yours in a moment
We can only get Radio 5 Live up here the reception is dreadful and we havent got digital yet. I used to be a Radio 4 fan myself but since my hearing has gone to pot I just hear the hum and not the words, but it helps with the Tinnitus.
Annie can you listen to radio 4 on your PC via BBC I player? I may be wrong, techical stuff isn’t my strong point
Here’s a link to Radio4, I hope it works for Annie
Hey i am listening the soft and heart touching song Titanic.
If you were alive in 1957 (this leaves a couple of you out), and old enough to enjoy Rock and Roll, you will probably remember the group, “The Diamonds” who had just launched their super hit "Little Darlin’ ". This should bring back a few memories. Ahhh yes, the good old days.
In 1957, The Diamonds had a hit with “Little Darlin”. 47 years later, in 2004, they were requested to perform at Atlantic City …
This link leads to both performances.
Watch the first one then scroll down for the new one 47 years later.
Be sure to scroll to second performance.

When we were young - (a new one by Take That) - quite nice
Oh thanks Folks, I really missed the Afternoon play.
Although I’m a ‘baby boomer’ I was never into Rock 'n roll or indeed any so-called ‘pop’ music. I am strictly a classical (and more particularly Opera) fan which is why I’m enjoying the television programme “Pop star to Opera star” at the moment. Cheryl Baker is making a valiant effort and whether she wins or not I do hope that she will continue to practice and keep some of the operatic arias in her repetoire.
Have a listen to this Joe.
It is Anna Netrebko one of the finest operatic sopranos.
This is the Rusalka by Antonin Dvorak
Enjoy.
Song to the moon
I am enjoying it too Uncle Joe :-)think Joe will win or the girl from ‘Steps’
Hammer that’s lovely a beautiful rendition…
I know the aria very well Hammer matey and Anna Nebrebko has a beautiful lyrical voice. Another good 'un is the “Queen of the night” aria from Mozart’s Magic Flute.
You’re probably right Megs darlin’ and if Claire does win it, I hope that she too will persevere with her operatic singing - she has such a beautiful voice!!!
