Nandos was invented in SA, or so they say.

Absolutely! Portuguese inspired. There’s a strong Portuguese influence here.
My great, great, great grandfather was Portuguese

We had …

past it’s use by date, we panic buyed last year. An old favourite from Chinatown.

The box contains a sachet of curry paste and a sachet of coconut powder. Add chicken and potato. Makes enough for 3 meals for 2.

Very nice.

That sounds yummy!

Yes there are a lot of Portuguese in SA, they come from Mozambique, an ex PT colony.

Nando … short for Fernando.

Nandos Frangos … frango means young chicken in PT.

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, chantenay carrots, greens and broccoli.

No dessert. :slightly_smiling_face:

Cod in Butter sauce, Jacket Potato and Carrots.

We are not very Traditional.

For lunch today we had the remains of last night’s gammon roast, sliced with pickled beetroot on farmhouse bread, Kettle crisps and a small portion of Camembert (for me) and Brie (for V) on the side.

Had a lovely Gumbo for lunch at a friend’s house yesterday.

Finally working off the associated hangover of the get together, before going out to another friend’s house, probably for an Indian takeaway, 'cos that’s our usual MO.

Frikadellen … anybody tried them?
