What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 2)

Out for lunch at the pub today and had a carvery. Turkey, beef, carrots & swede, peas, beans, cauliflower cheese and a couple of roasties followed by rocky road sundae and washed down with a pint of Carling, luvverly…

Pasta Bolgnaise.

Lunch = Carrot,Onion, and Garlic soup - with crust rolls. (all homemade)

Dinner - Bangers and mash, with broccoli, butter beans, and mushroom/onion/red wine gravy.

The bangers will be a bit of an adventure - our local butcher likes to invent new recipes - went to buy a gammon joint yestermorn and he was just putting out some Chicken, Coconut and Mango sausages. Was intrigued so bought a couple to try!

I found the Goldenfry Onion gravy went best with mine , made in Yorkshire since 1958,
better than Ahh Bisto

I made some flatbread with homemade tomato sauce, and blobs of pesto on it. I stole the idea from Gino D’acampo’s version from Asda. I didn’t want much for dinner, just a snack. This was nice…more flavoursome than his, I must say :joy:

Sounds delicious Barry!

I’m just about to have toast and cheese. Keeping it simple - have the dentist later, so garlic is out of the question.

Thanks Claire it was, here’s a picture of it when I cooked it a few weeks ago, we had some for lunch that day and portioned the rest up for the freezer. I just takes ten minutes in the microwave now and it’s as good as it was the day I cooked it. :+1:
