What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

The other night I fried up some onions, mushrooms, chicken and green peppers in a tomato and chicken stock cube, to which I added some garlic and paprika, along with some golden rice and it was gorgeous. I’d never made that before, but I do like to experiment.

Happened to see some morning tv and watched Phil Vickery cooking this pork dish and now im off to the shop to get the ingredients for it to have tonight… im salivating as I type!!

I’ve just watched the video and that does look really nice and yummy! I look forward to your opinion of it later on Cassie!

Just a plain chicken salad with a small jacket potato and yoghurt to follow.

Didn’t do the cold beef and Jacket potato yesterday as I said, instead I chopped up another thick wedge of the joint, and made a beef curry with it. There was enough in the pot to last for today too, so I finished it off a couple of hours ago. Am still ‘sweating’ from the heat of it.

Lasagna baked potato and salad tonight

Lunch today was a hearty bowl of soup to which I added some sliced sausage. Perfect rainy day comfort food!

Salad with home cooked gammon, boiled eggs and a really nice cheddar.

baked spud with Edam and chilli

We had a Chinese takeaway … I had Special Fried Rice with mushrooms and onions

 I know, I’m standing in the corner as I typed that.

I had baked salmon with salad…

:018: naught naughty Ali

Lunch = home made soup, celery, small piece of cheese.

Dinner = rib eye steak , onions, mushrooms, local broccoli, leeks in white sauce.
A pear and some nuts.

Well my porky number went down really well  It was very tasty and it cooked beautifully… will make a note of it for when we have guests

That’s interesting to know, Cassie … I might try it myself one day.

There’s a fish 'n chip restaurant just down the road from me - was there last weekend and the piece of Haddock on my plate was so large it overlapped the plate on both sides. Notwithstanding my healthy appetite I was unable to finish it - will go back there today and have another try - refuse to be beaten by a piece of fish!!!

I had salmon, new potatoes, broccoli and green beans, followed by a fat free frozen yoghurt. Yes, that’s correct, got the idea from a Slimming World forum.

2 chicken burgers and chips at 3.30 pm …bacon fried bread beans and fried eggs for supper 8pm …lemon cake and custard …A mad Saturday lol

Carmen, would be interested in the fat free yogurt recipe

A three egg cheese and mushroom omelette for me!
