What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Cooking for one isn’t difficult once you get used to it. I like cooking and I like to eat; when I make it myself I know what’s in it and it’s spiced and flavored to my taste. Not to say I don’t buy some prepared things: Mama Lucia’s Italian meatballs are better than I make, and I do buy pizza crusts and other things …
fish are perfect for one: trout, salmon, swordfish…

Tomorrow’s tea Nero

Tonight I had the last of my beef stew from the freezer :frowning: - chunks of beef, carrots, swede, leek and onions with a casserole sauce on a bed of mashed potatoe. Going to make another one this weekend

Oh that does sound tasty! Definitely stew weather lately.

It was very tasty dandysmom-love my slow cooker-cooks everything to perfection

Merz has put me right in the mood for stovies tomorrow.

What…no fish supper on Friday Nero?

No, I’m not religious either.

We Catholics got excused from the no-meat-Fridays many years ago.

Nero, my Dad, who hated fish, once was very happy when traveling for the Government many years ago; crossed the International Date Line in some way that Thursday became Saturday by meal time so he did not have to eat fish!

It’s deffo Stovies tonight folks.

My homemade Not-quite-Minestrone soup, tossed salad and the usual ciabatta roll.

Something warming here, chicken curry, rice with coriander and garlic naan bread…

Just had my Friday night treat-fish, chips and mushy peas-lovely…

Peas, . . I foresee winds for tomorrows’ weather.

:lol::lol: Luckily mushy peas don’t affect me Nero-only sprouts

I love sprouts, and they don’t affect me.

Anyone having anything nice tonight?
Sausage casserole here - nice and tasty and seasonal

Rabbit & cider casserole with mash and peas yummm

I am about to have a nice tin of tomato soup with red pepper. And some freshly baked bread. Not sure about tonight though.
