Lunch was a quicky cheese sandwich as I was going out to visit a friend.
Dinner - was really special! Tried Bakerman’s recipe for ‘Shrimp Creole’ (see American Cookery thread) and my flavour buds are still dancing! I had never tried Creole food before - so I did put less of the Cayenne pepper in than the recipe suggested - but I would certainly recommend it to everyone. It is absolutely delicious - a bit labour intensive - but well worth the effort.
Had a round of Tuna Mayo with shredded iceberg lettuce and thinly sliced cucumber on Wholemeal bread. followed by 3 strawberries, 4 blueberries, 6 grapes and a quarter of Honeydew melon for afters. Feeling full now!
Took a couple of Coley steaks from the freezer, wrappped in foil with a generous knob of real butter and popped in the oven for approx 20 mins. Removed and placed in casserole dish, poured a cheese sauce over them and a pile of mashed potato. Sliced some cheese and laid them on the potato and placed under grill until cheese and potato were golden brown.
