What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Today we are having:

Chicken Curry and Rice.

This mornings sugar reading UJ was 8.

Susie darlin’ I forgot to do one early this morning, so did it after I got back from my hospital Appt - reading was down to 6.3 - pleased with that!!!

That is excellent UJ.

Are you Type 2? How long have you been Diabetic.

I am Type 1, have been for over 30 years now.

Yes Susie darlin’ - type 2 - for about 4 - 5 years now.

Today we are having:

Boiled Egg Salad.

Hi

Chicken salad.

Chicken curry here too. Excellent it was too. My dear wife, who made it, thought it was too mild. Everyone else loved it.

I make mine too hot for my Husband.

Today its:

Smoked Haddock, Jacket Potato, Broccoli Cheese.

Just had our dinner, Judd the Nutmeg went down well, thank you!

Salmon with red peppers & salad.

That looks nice Bratti.

Today its:

Marinated Pork Slices, Roast Potato, Baked Onion, Fine Beans, Carrots & Gravy.

Not sure whether to do roast chicken, chicken casserole or chicken curry.

I would have a typical Roast Chicken for Sunday UJ.

Yes Susie, traditional Sunday dinner. I’m off to the pub to have a Sunday roast!

Braised lamb shanks today

It’s a lot cooler weather wise and I need to free up space in the freezer

Will serve with carrots, cauliflower and potatoes of some discription

Lamb steak today with new potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, followed by strawberries and low fat yoghurt. Starter, homemade veggi soup (but maybe have that for supper).

Today was Indian cuisine. The real thing cooked by our Indian neighbours.
We have relatives over from Georgia (USA) so six of us and five of them. An altogether pleasant afternoon.

Thanks Susie. Today with had chicken and steak kabobs with gluten free noodles and sauce. Oh yum it was good. The meat was marinated and spiced like savlaka first.

Crafty friend coming over for the day, neighbour (or two) joining us at some point, friend’s hubby arriving in time for tea.

Lunch = Homemade Mushroom and garlic soup with wholemeal rolls. Made the soup with giant field mushrooms - so it looks very dark - bit like mud really - but it tastes delicious!

Afternoon tea = a selection of cold meats and a dish of tuna, lots of cheeses, chutneys, sauces, salad, homemade bread - so people can make their own sandwiches. Crisps/crackers/biscuits. Rhubarb and custard - with a secret kick! And a few cakes - lemon drizzle, cherry madeira, and almond slices.

If anyone leaves my house hungry today - it is entirely their own fault !!

Today we are having:

Chicken Salad.
