What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Had some vegetables with pasta and Parmesan.

Did a vegetable curry for grace and Nathan.

And a boiled egg for my husband.

No sorry UJ, I can’t, i’m having a lot of problems not just with my Diabetes but other things as well and at the moment i’m feeling quite depressed today. Thanks for the advice though.

Reminding myself too Susie darlin’, I had two large plates of stew that I made earlier in the week, now getting the ‘munchies’ and will need to raid the biscuit barrel soon.

Today I am making a Beef Casserole with Curly Kale & Carrots, hubby having potatoes with his.

We will be having home-made chicken, ham and leek pie, although I’ll be using ready made pastry.

Removed chicken (yes a whole one!!!) from freezer yesterday and will roast it later this morning ready for lunch early this afternoon.

There is only my son and I in the house this weekend as his girlfriend has gone to London with her friends to see a show. He’s making a roast chicken dinner for us today which I’m looking forward to. He’s been looking after me well by feeding me really healthy food and not letting me have any salt or sugar at all.

Roast chicken dinner for us as well today. Has to be my most favourite roast , I could eat it every day

Small fry-up for me today.

1 Fried Egg
2 Bacon
Bakebeans
1 Sausage

That’s it.

Hi

Baked chicken breast with vegetables and Yorkshires.

No potatoes.

Smoked Haddock, Rice, Butter glazed Carrots and Minted Peas.

Lambs Liver, Mash & Peas

Due to Spring cleaning today, a quick and easy dinner for me, bought pie, ham hock and leek, with carrot and swede mash.

Think Im coming to yours Ragdoll, I love pie

Not sure, Ive the oven to clean yet so will probably be something I can cook on the stove, probably sausages with some cauliflower cheese

Sorry Missy but it’s a Supermarket pie for one, but if you bring your sausages and cali cheese, we can go half and half. And yesterday I baked a Lemon drizzle cake, so that’s pudding sorted

Im not proud when it comes to pie - supermarket will do rightly

I hope your lemon drizzle is good. Poor mum decided to bake yesterday and made a jam sponge. I looked at it and thought it looked a bit weird but said nothing. After dinner she cut it and it was the weirdest colour Ive ever seen, I asked if it was a coffee cake. She had used our eggs. Our hens eggs are HUGE and when you are used to huge and even bigger, you forget how big they are. Cake tastes like omelette lol

I shall make some custard, open the sherry and turn it into trifle

Ah poor Mum, I always use large duck eggs, but I weigh the eggs (out of shell) and use that weight for the stork, sugar and flour. As it’s only me, I sometimes only use the one egg and make a small cake.

hope the trifle turns out ok.

Small cake ???, small cake??? Is there such a thing???:-

We are having roast beef, Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes & parsnips with steamed broccoli and carrots… and lots of gravy!

Another roast pork dinner for me. Lovely.
