What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Leftover Tagine and couscous. Think I made too much

That looks lovely, I would have joined you if you had said you made too much.

I get some great recipes off this site!

Is that Tagine easy to make Effing?

Dead Easy - and this time I cheated by replacing the big list of spices with most of a jar of “Moroccan Seasoning” from Tesco. So much easier and actually very good.

The recipe I based it on is here but strangely it leaves out the list of 10-20 spices that you are supposed to rub over the diced lamb and leave in the fridge overnight! All the other recipes suggest you do that, and so do I. Dice the lamb, sprinkle lots of the spices over, mix with your hands, put some clingfilm over the top and leave in the fridge to absorb the flavours before browning the meat. Otherwise just follow the recipe. I doubled it and boned a leg that Tesco had on half price - yummy!

The couscous was yummy and so simple (put more harissa in than it says though). Got that recipe here.

This is one of the recipes I have in my “simple but impressive” collection for when I’m entertertaining.

Fantastic!
Will try it this weekend

Sorry, forgot to say, the one I made a few weeks back I added half a butternut squash about an hour from the end - just chopped into chunks and stirred it in. A…maz…ing!

And it’s even better the next day!

Post your photo here when it’s all done

Today it was a peanut butter sandwich and a banana.

Cooking spicy meat pasta for tonight.

I will be making Quiche, mashed potatoes and turnip, brocolli, carrots, parsnips, sprouts and peas

Goodness, DW - more than your five-a-day there. Do you use fresh or frozen veg?

Name made pizza today, I’ll just prep it all and everyone can make their own I think.

If only all my meals were as healthy!

Other than peas I don’t really use any frozen vegetables, the only pain I find are peeling the sprouts, I have been know to stand there muttering and swearing at them. I know you can get the pre trimmed ones but I don’t think they taste as nice.

Life’s too short my sprouts come frozen

Oh so you’re the one responsible for this cold wind!!!;-)

Just had Pasta Bolognaise with Garlic Bread.

A macaroni cheese cooked from scratch with a side of onion rings, then some red grapes for dessert.

:mrgreen::mrgreen:

I enjoyed my tea very much tonight - strange how something random can make all the difference. The grapes were perfectly ripe, too.

Removed a whole chicken from my freezer yesterday - will roast it today and with the remainder, will make a casserole/curry tomorrow for use through the week.

Fried egg sandwiches by popular demand.

I have a slice of belly pork for my dinner tonight. Will dig out some veg from the freezer later. May make myself a bread and butter pudding too. I never normally have a pudding, so it will make a change.
