What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

M&S chicken and mushroom bake, jacket potato and peas - all gluten free - yummy, followed by warm chocolate fudge pudding, again M&S, with Elmlea, again, equally yummy.

lots of good gluten free stuff around these days.

There is but not all of it good - very high in sugar and fat - but there’s enough for a quick meal occasionally. I’m happy with that…

Indeed but better than it used to be, friend of mine used to have serious problems with gluten sadly took years to realise that was the problem.

Yes, I’ve heard some real horror stories of what gluten free food was like years ago. The faddy dieters have, in some ways, helped the cause of the Coeliacs, so not all bad.

That’s true ! Amazes me how many people think they can’t eat it. It’s awful if you really can’t.

I just fancied fried corned beef and cabbage with ground nutmeg for extra taste…twas lovely.

Here I sit under a cloudless blue sky with a temperature of over 37 degrees, being fed two course breakfasts and three course lunches and dinners, with wine at lunch and dinner too and cocktails in the evening with the entertainment. I know I’ve got to come back, but it’s going to be hard dragging me away from this little piece of paradise.

Hi

Yes, Wolverhampton can be so nice this time of year.

I said foreign parts, not the back of beyond!!! And since when has Wolverhampton had temperatures in the high thirties centigrade???

Glad you are enjoying yourself UJ, just egg on toast here for lunch

I forgot to say that the bar opens at 10.00am together with the ice cream parlour - they are all pre-paid anyway, one may go and help one’s self with as little as one likes:shock: or as much:lol: as one wants.

Homemade shepherds pie here for tea…now cooking in the oven
