Had a nice big breakfast this morning - two rounds of buck rarebits. Now am looking forward to my lunch - steak & kidney pud with steamed potatoes and veg and a drop of gravy!!!
Another turkey roast dinner, using up a lot of left overs from yesterday.
Had a cheese roll lunch time - ate it down the allotment.
Making lamb and mint burgers with salad and chucking if all into pittas for meat eaters making a cheese and salad wrap for myself.
Mr freeze ice pops for pudding Elsie dogs favourite so she is having a whole one for herself, not spoiling her you understand it’s all medicinal
Made a cottage pie yesterday - enough in the dish to make a second helping for my lunch today.
A roast dinner this evening, using beef slices (defrosting), with potatoes, parsnip, sweet potato, kohl rabi, cauli cheese, carrot and peas, yorkie and gravy. Phew! And a coconut flavoured dessert bought in the International supermarket today.
Soup for me as I’ve just had a tooth out this morning.
Now then, a real dilemma.
Mushroom or pea and ham?
Removed some rabbit from freezer last evening - its been defrosting overnight and marinading a glass of Red wine.
Later this morning will peel and chop appropriate veg, add lentils, make gravy and suet dumplings, add curry and herbs - yes another ‘rabbit’ stew!!!
Does you dentist work every day including Sundays then Tpin ?
Made pizza yesterday so have the makings for one of those, or have a lot of eggs so could have egg and chips, will decide nearer the time see what I fancy.
I’m not sure yet. Ask me again 20 minutes from now.
No Malcolm, he does not but there are surgeries that do for urgent appointments.
You can find these through the NGS 111 service if you ever need one.
Thanks that’s good to know.
My dentist is the only one in the village and is not NHS I pay £10 per month as a private patient, he only works Mon to Thurs and charges a fortune.
We are having a Spanish Tortilla !
Tell me about it…£145 for an extraction that took no more than 10 minutes including the 3 injections.
But you do get one of these, it’s contents? 1 piece if sterilised gauze about 40mmx40mm…bargain.
OMG that is a lot of money, I thought it would have been a lot less than that on the good old NHS.
My recent two extractions cost around £50 apiece I though that was a lot a few months ago.
I don’t have to pay for tooth extractions - have them done at maxial-facial unit in hospital - dentist can’t touch extractions on me - due to my warfarin prescriptions.
That is interesting to know UJ, so when and if I ever need to have a tooth extraction, it will have to be in hospital cos of Warfarin… Well I never knew that !!:shock:
We had Red Salmon Salad today for dinner.
Still wading down to the bottom of my cauldron of rabbit stew & dumplings.
Just browning in the frying pan some onion, boiled potato, and cabbage. To go with that is a small frozen meat pudding, that’ll be done in the micro. Not tried the pud yet: I bought a bag of 4 in Morrisons.
