What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Deconstructed Toad in the Hole with Blackpudding and Bacon sausages, Yorkshires and 3 veg.

Hello and welcome to Masterchef-deconsructed means the batter pudding is not in the sausage? I tease

Just make a pest of yourself Susie. Their job is to control your diabetes x

I have two small jacket potatoes cooking in the mini oven, and they will accompany a chicken kiev, and peas/carrots.

Currently sipping a poor man’s Baileys on the rocks! Yummmmm.

And???

Sex and drugs and rock and roll?-nope just a bit of what I fancy.

Yes matey - me too, plus onions, leeks, baked beans and many other foods too which also contribute to global warming, but do I care??? - do I heck as like!!!

And my meal was very tasty! I absolutely love chicken kievs.

I sometimes make my own Chicken Kiev Jazzi, it’s very easy to do.

Today we are having:-

Belly of Pork Strips marinated in Garlic & Chilli, a couple of Potatoes, Fried Red Cabbage and Swede, gravy.

Have Haggis, have sweet potatoes, have parsnips, have swede, have celeriac - so tatties, & neeps mash topped with Haggis and gravy over the top!!!

Off out tonight. Our friends are treating us for looking after their cat while they were away.

Might try a dry cracker and glass of water if I feel like it or might just give it a miss today.

:shock::shock: What??? - No Julie that’s not the way!!! - good ol’ fashioned steak & Kidney pud, tatties and veg with lashings of rich gravy!!!

Gawd UJ that would about finish us all off today, got a nasty virus running through the family one of those times two loos might be a good idea

Ahhh right, then a good ol’fashioned breakfast/brunch - 2 eggs, several rashers of bacon, couple of large (Cumberland) Sausages, hash browns, Mushrooms (no baked beans for obvious reasons), black pudding and a round or two of toast (doorsteps for preference). The eggs will help to ‘bind’ you both.

:078: sorry not today not for any of us.

Not even a bit of scrambled eggs Julie.

Ahhh yes Susie darlin’ - cheese on (doorstep) toast, with scrambled egg on top and topped off with a couple rashers of (crispy) bacon - that should do for starters till the virus has gone.

Not for me, think grace is looking a bit better but she came down with it first, so will see if she can manage a boiled egg for her tea, but Steven and I are just avoiding food today.

Dirty rice for us today…minced pork, peppers, celery, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms with garlic and paprika sautéed in a heavy frying pan with cooked long grain rice added at the end.
