What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Hi

Clearing out the big freezer ready for my trips away.

Tonight is pigeon breasts and tomorrow roasting a big pork leg joint.

Change of plan. Having potato cubes instead.

Chicken Kiev, boiled potatoes and vegs.

Am dining out today, here:

Steak, and fresh veg…

It was fry-Up day today.

I had peanut butter sandwiches for lunch. No dinner as I feel nauseous.

Today we are having, Steak & Kidney Pie, Mash and Beans.

To make up for the lack of calories yesterday darlin’, might I suggest an ‘Ulster fry’ - sausages, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes, potato bread & Soda bread.

Baked potato with baked beans.

I come from the South and I don’t eat bacon, eggs or sausages. I don’t eat any animal product, Joe.

Jacket pot’ and baked beans for My lunch too… hard Boiled egg & cheese salad for dinner.

After my suggestion earlier this morning, got to thinking about ‘bangers’ - have some CCumberland sausages in freezer so may either do ‘bangers’ & mash or make a sausage casserole.

Home made lentil/carrot soup for lunch…Haddock, home made oven chips, green beans for dinner.

Defrosted the rabbit, peeled and chopped, leek, potatoes, onions, carrots, parsnip, swede and Celeriac, made 2 litres of gravy and placed all ingredients in my cauldron, added some lentils to the stew as well.

UJ, Do you ever add pearl barley into your stews? I love that!

Meat eaters had steamed salmon, broccoli and mashed potatoes, non meat eaters had cheesy broccoli soup which was rather nice if I do say so myself.

Not very often Twink darlin’, I much prefer lentils. Will also thicken it even further with some suet dumplings.

When it is cold I do a lamb stew with carrots, celery, swede, onions, barley and anything else that needs to be used. I will miss that when the weather gets warmer.

Twink darlin’ I take no account of weather or seasons, if I want stew, summer or winter, then stew will be prepared and cooked!!!
