Had phone call from a dear friend yesterday - have agreed to meet up for a meal in the pub not far from me - here:
Hope you have a lovely time UJ
Doing lamb steaks with mashed potatoes, broccoli and mushrooms
A cheese burger for me vegetarian before anyone wonders.
I don’t wish to be personal Julie, but in another thread you said that you were overweight. I find that to be most unusual for a vegetarian. The veggies I know are all slender and slim, my BIL is wafer thin, but very healthy !
Foot in mouth again Malcolm!!! - Read more carefully in future. Julie did say it was a VEGETARIAN burger!!! Furthermore, I read elsewhere on another thread that Julie had lost weight, but then felt ‘unhappy’ and has put some of her lost weight back on and is happioer with that. Now I think you need to apologise to Julie!!!
I’m making lamb rogan josh for dinner. None of your cook-in sauces for me.
I’ve diced the lamb and left it to marinate. I’ll finish cooking it late this afternoon. Serving it with rice, popodums and riata.
Sounds good GW
We are having a Beef and tomato Chinese stir fry.
Sirloin steak cut into thin strips marinaded in soy sauce and garlic, with onion, peppers, passata and fresh tomatoes
I had a small breakfast in Morrisons this morning…one egg one rasher of bacon and one sausage with baked beans so wont now have anything till much later now
There are good vegetarian diets and bad ones chocolate and crisps are vegetarian foods you know, I am not sure why you keep having a go at me though, the lunch thread is usually not a place people pick at others it’s usually just a friendly exchange of pleasantries.
Just had: Chicken Kiev, homemade oven chips and red/yellow/green peppers, mushrroms, onions sprinkled with spices and put in the oven.
I have an inquisitive nature Julie, please don’t take it personally, I’m not ‘having a go’ at you, I think you are a caring and hard-working person and I enjoy reading your posts.
Today we are having homemade Chicken Curry and Pasta.
Roast chicken breasts, roast tatties, parsnips, carrots and leeks with a bisto & oxo cube gravy. I still have one cherry lattice pasty which I could cook and have that with custard.
Sausage egg and chips today.
Homemade meat and potato pie for us, with chips and cauli and broccoli.
Just had bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomatoes followed by chocolate chip brownie and custard - now I’m stuffed !!
Bought a reduced price lamb casserole in Morrisons so may have that for supper.
Had some kind of mushroom thing that resembles a fishcake made of mud
You make that sound very appetising Rachel, ![]()
I’ve been out for a very nice carvery - roast beef and all the trimmings.
This evening we’re having a Salmon salad, crusty baguette and home made fruit cake.
I cooked a lovely stir fry with chicken and veggies and added golden syrup which glazed and sweetened it too, yum yum!
