Lunch was a walk around the table and a fresh air sandwich. Tonight I am off out to an Indian Restaurant for dinner and a birthday celebration!

We enjoyed the spaghetti but didn’t have room for the tart .Oh well it will keep for another time. I hope you enjoyed your meal also.

We decided not to have breakfast at the hotel and have a wee lie in ;-). Then we drove to Girvan and had bacon and fried egg rolls for brunch :-p
I think dinner will probably be a curry I have in the fridge.
My son, who has been living with me for around 9 months has now got a flat and is moving soon - so it’s back to meals for one for me!
Well, had another portion of the pork and cider casserole, with potatoes, carrots and peas, and found room in the freezer for the rest (taking out a pint of milk to defrost).
Means I have to find something else from tomorrow now. I didn’t buy anything else when I bought the pork, apart from some roast beef slices (rest frozen), so looks like another trip to the supermarket.
lamb shank, gravy, boiled potatoes, carrot and swede mash, cauli and garden peas
Well today something different.
Piri Chicken breasts with
Layered Potatoes, Garlic Paste, Cream and grated cheese on top.
and Brussels.
Cooked a frozen turkey roast yesterday (the one wot costs £2.50), and had a mini version of the roast dinner, for quickness.
Tonight I will do a bigger one, all the roasties (including kohl rabi), and sausagemeat and stuffing mix. Yum yum yum.
Lunch? Not sure yet. Depends if I go to the allotment today, in which case will be a sandwich, with flask.
Today we are having:
Marinated Hoisen Pork Strips with new baby potatoes, dark greens & swede.
Just had cheese on toast as I’ve been faffing about with a new house phone.
I’ve got a beef casserole in the oven using a packet of diced beef and my own root vegetables. On the packet its says not to reheat. Anyone know why?
Probably just being more safe than sorry Derek. I am really funny about reheating stuff. The thought of suffering food poison again has made me very wary. Hope you enjoyed your dinner
It was my toast and cheese for lunch.
More cheese in the form of macaroni for dinner. A couple of pickled onions and granary bread on the side :-p
Enjoyed a full roast turkey dinner. It was blimming delicious.
Having eaten roast potatoes cooked with semolina in the carvery a few weeks ago I’ve started doing it. (Coat them after par boiling/drained, then shake.). Crisps them up. Yummy.
I’ve heard about the roasties with semolina Jazzi. I must try it. I love roast potatoes.
We’ve just eaten…
Lamb chump chops with turnip, peas, carrot’s, and boiled pots in jackets, onion gravy… and the famous mint sauce…
We’ve just eaten
Steak & Kidney Pudding, baby new potatoes, carrots, Brussels & gravy.
We just had ours …Cottage pie…
I was in an Irish pub at the weekend and they had cottage pie made with guinness…I had a quick chat with the chef and its simple enough but I wondered if anyone has tried making it?
Beef and guinness pie/casserole Ive done but never a cottage pie!
Lunch was tuna pasta salad. Shop bought as I was so disorganised. Too much mayo which always makes me feel squeamish. Yuck.
Dinner is steak which is on offer in Morrisons. It’s pay day after all :-D. I’ll have it with baked potato and a caesar salad.
For dinner we had… As my son came and ate with us…
Roast Pork Joint with apple sauce, turnip, carrots, peas, cauliflower and baby boiled potatoes in jackets and gravy.
Followed by …
Tiramisu Ice cream ( From Lidl ) To Die For Yummy !!!
I tried Morrison’s Signature pork and chorizo quarter pounders for the first time today and they were really tasty. I cooked some french fries and added a side salad, really enjoyed it!
Marinading some chicken drumsticks in a Chinese flavour. Might have them with rice.
