Good evening ladies and gents, I don’ often venture into these parts but last night I made the best roast potatoes ever. Married for 25 years and hubs agreed they were the best he had ever tasted.
Peel potatoes, boil potatoes for about 10/15 minutes. Drain potatoes, shake semolina (uncooked) over potatoes making sure they are all covered. Take roasting pan and heat it in the 190/200 oven add oil and then quickly add potatoes, roast for about 45 mins turning once.
Delicious and delectable eat your heart out Aunt Bessie.
I bet you are all laughing because this is how you always make roast potatoes.
No Cookiecake, I am intrigued. Never heard of doing that before.
CC they sound delicious. I love roasties.
I’ll have bacon rolls for brekkie, then have dinner tonight. Not sure what yet?
That sounds good CC, they must have been nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, must try that one day.
Today we are having Roast Gammon, R. Potatoes, R. Parsnips, baked onion, cabbage, swede and gravy.
Only one snag I think they are addictive, as Keith asked for them again. They are a little more work but are so worth it and those that are left over if any, are gorgeous fried up with bacon and eggs for breakfast next day.
I just tried some Stornoway Black Pudding tonight. Recommended from McLeod and McLeod :-). I have to say it was delish :-p
