What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Tomorrow my son is off to spend the day ‘gaming’ at a venue in Cardiff, so have just made him one of his favourite treats but with a twist. Home made scotch eggs, but have made the coating by mincing two pork steaks and two rashers smoked streaky, then ‘squidging’ this mixture together with about five inches of black pudding, then doing the usual of covering soft boiled eggs with this mix then breadcrumbs and deep frying.

Having read all these posts…they sound delicious but it would be interesting to know what is the worst thing you’ve ever eaten?

Mine was baby camel, at an Algerian wedding…big lumps of yellow fat with 3 inch hairs sticking out of it!!

We have just had Egg Salad.

I don’t fancy Camel Lilac.

The only thing I wouldn’t eat is ‘BRAINS’.

I hate any sort of offal…I had to eat the camel!!

Today its Roast Gammon, Roast Potatoes, Brocolli & Swede, Gravy.

Whatever shouts ‘pick me’ in Morrisons later today.

I don’t know yet, but I do know that I will enjoy it because she is a wizard in the kitchen.

Not quite sure yet what I’ll have for dinner … either tortellini alla carne or if I feel like it maybe chicken paprika with rice … decisions … decisions! For lunch though I’m definitely having some of the lovely Hungarian rustic wholemeal bread lathered with Rondele Ail de Garonne cream cheese and a cucumber salad.

Cauliflower cheese today, with celeriac chips

and big treat of a choc ice for pud

Today we are having Thai Chicken Curry and Singapore Noodles, maybe some Bombay Potatoes with it.

Today will be doing a slow cooking of chicken and mushroom casserole. When I can get me backside off this chair and put down the iPad, and get off this forum.

That’ll be a late evening meal then Jazzi ?

Doing an omelette today with whatever we have in the fridge as a filling.

Try a gratted Onion and Potato in the Omellete.
I have one on Sunday evenings, Only takes minutes to whip up and tastes GREAT.

No potatoes but it does sound good. Have tomatoes, onion and cheese so will be using those.

I DID get off me backside Julie, and it’s cooking away contentedly!

Eating a beefburger in two slices of Medtn bread (just been to the Co-op for a fresh loaf.) for lunch. Starving.

Vegetable Chilli, made a large batch tother day. Easy just to take out when i cant be bothered to cook something.

last night 'twas a cheese and tomato omelette, and today am going to make a steamed leek and red Leicester cheese quiche, then we will have with oven baked potato and baked beans. Meanwhile a tin of Tesco mulligatawny soup will go down well.

Chinese chippie night…quaffing a few cold ones…not very healthy I know…lol…H

When I lived in Shropshire our local Chinese take away sold chips, huge chunky ones that had a dark colour to them, not, I might add caused by the cooking process, it was if they were somehow coated, oh hell cannot explain, maybe they soaked the spuds in soy? Whatever, they were ruddy well fantastic. There was also a chippie in the same row of shops, and it was only when I moved back to Wales that I came upon the combination of Chinese take-away/chippie. It has just occurred to me, why do Indian take-away’s not combine also?

Just had a Fry-Up consisting of: Fried Eggs, Bacon, Frankfurters, Chips & Beans.
