What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

co-op southern fried chicken portions (cooked in halogen so not so fatty), with garlic mash and purple sprouting broc for me and son has elected to finish off cheesy coleslaw. Pudding? Doubtful, but maybe jelly and fruit

Out to dinner with friends this evening so no idea till I see the menu.

Don’t know what it is about tiger loaves but they are delish! Bought a tiger baguette from Morrisons and had some for lunch with cheese and tomato and a little Branston. Very nice too.

Sounds yummy

Had a ham and mustard sandwich for luncheon

Not enough!!! Rachel darlin’ and NO you cannot eat your meals in bed whilst watching television!!!

Apparently a ‘tiger’ loaf is exactly the same as any other except the top has been lightly brushed with egg wash. Asked the baker at Tesco.

Lol … I have been up for ages AND I am dressed … ner ner ner

We had Southern Fried Chicken Gougons with cubed baked potatoes.

Tonight I have made Bombay Potatoes which I am going to fill a Pitta Bread with.

Hi Bird,

The Tigers rolls are lovely, we also buy them, you can also get them in Asda’s and Sainsbury’s.:lol:

Roast lamb dinner with lots of mint sauce. Yum.

Just googled tiger bread and seemingly the distinctive smell and flavour comes from sesame oil. It could vary from store to store of course.

Well I was just repeating heat the baker at Tesco said when I asked how they made ‘tiger’ read.

Today we are having Red Thai Chicken Curry with Spicy Singapore Noodles and Bombay Potatoes.

Eaten ham and mustard sandwich … chicken for supper/dinner/tea

Thanks daisymay, its delicious however they make it !

Just to point out, I am not going mad, neither are my spelling skills deteriorating, but am using my iPad which has a predictive text function, which, if you are not being über careful can sometimes predict incorrectly, as some of my latest posts illustrate.

Oh, and for food today, am having hot buttered toast and cream of chicken soup for lunch, and grilled lamb chops, Charlotte new pots boiled in skins, with runner beans and carrot batons. Here’s a question, why do carrots cut into batons somehow taste nicer than those cut into rounds?

Cauliflower cheese here, niece very kindly made it for us.

Daisymay, my predictive text drives me mad. And I agree about carrot shapes. Isn’t it odd?

A ham salad with a baked potato.
