Take away curry from the Islamabad - yum yum
On my way!
My Not-quite-minestrone soup, tossed salad, Portuguese roll here.
Hmm - yours sounds far healthier Eileen.
Not necessarily, I always use too much butter on my roll!
Not having a really proper dinner tonight : have a craving for just bacon and scrambled eggs, buttered toast; but will have a healthy vegetable - sweet corn.
Well tonight folks, I thought I would show you as well as tell.

Sorry the photo is not very good quality:blush:
Fantastic, I am definitely on my way! What an excellent cook you are! I do a very good similar dish with chicken, chilis, basil, nuoc mam, garlic.
Photo was good enough to make my stomach start growling, PPH!
lol - funnily enough, the first time I had Thai food was in the good old US of A - in Honolulu. I have been addicted ever since.
I was in my early 40s when I first discovered Thai food; our offices had moved to the suburbs and I discovered a little Thai restaurant on a nearby side street. Blew my mind! They have become very popular here in Washington in the last decade or so. I consider it one of the great cuisines like Chinese and French.
I can smell it now in it’s preperation, Mmmmmmm
Liver and Onions.
I’m not a big fan of organ meat - too many tubes:-p
I agree but it makes whistling easier.
That really made me smile
I HATE liver!
Pizza and salad. It was going to be roast duck but got back too late from the allotment. At least the salad leaves were growing an hour ago so they should be tasty.
Ham and cabbage with a side of pickled beets, roll.
Chicken vegetable soup, tossed salad, Portuguese roll
What is a Portuguese roll?
Portuguese rolls are a bit lighter in texture than Italian bread (soft, open crumb) a little shorter and wider than a hoagie roll, with a light, kind of crisp crust.
Thanks Eileen
Todays lunch was - in spite of the weather - a summer dish;
1 tin of tuna in water (drained), 1 hardboiled egg (chopped), 1 small tin of sweetcorn (drained), pickled gherkins (finely chopped), mayonaisse. Mix the ingredients and leave in the fridge for a couple of hours. Served with a jacket potato & a glass of cava this tastes of summer in the south…
