What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Aha, I remember your shopping experience … I should have typed ‘mind you don’t fall in again:slight_smile:

:lol::lol::lol:

Fried egg toasted sandwiches for lunch … delicious!

Dinner will be stirfry with noodles.

All meals today eaten out in the garden in the sunshine.

Chicken korma, it’s been an age since we had that.
Hubby had cooked it and froze half, so it was a quick and filling meal.

Have quite a fair bit of the beef joint left over from Sunday roast so will cook a beef stew and suet dumplings tomorrow for me and a friend who is calling round.

tinned salmon salad and Ciabatta for lunch had was going to do curry for tea, yep I’ll do that.

Too hot to cook Geoff, it’ll be back to salad for us tomorrow  (unless we find something else we cooked and squirrelled away in the freezer)

Jan darlin’ - my kitchen and bathroom is a back extension so I have a low flat roof which has been tarmaced. With the sun streaming in through the kitvchen window as well as heating up the low roof and the west facing brickwork, it was over
34 oC in my kitchen on Sunday and I STILL slaved over a hot stove on Sunday cooking a Sunday roast. I also cooked yesterday and earlier today too and my kitchen is still as hot as Sunday. Since I regard ‘salad’ as rabbit food, notwithstanding the heat I still cook every day.

Salad salad and more salad here, just not feeling like cooking at the moment. So good job we love salad LOL

I have been using cooked chicken to make coronation chicken to add to salad one or two days. Waldorf salad, coleslaw. Green beans, cherry tommies, cooked hotdogs chopped up and mixed with a nice oil and vinegar dressing. Pasta salads with beans, mayo and mixed veg. Steamed frozen mixed veg with mayo is a lovely quick side salad. Potato salad with boiled eggs and red onions. We are enjoying the hot weather with little to no cooking and really enjoying our meals which are tasty and filling.

fresh Crab bread and butter followed ice cream cone…i am on a diet

I’m supposed to be too Steve matey, but that doesn’t stop me!!!

Ahhh yes. the sea food diet…see food and eat it…I love fresh crab.;-)

When we were in SanFransisco we were offered garlic ice cream which I suppose you could have with crab.

Not a lot - I hardly eat at all in hot weather.

That’s not good darlin’ - food is our fuel, if you don’t eat properly you’ll grind to a halt.

You really are a feeder aren’t you UJ, a lot of us eat far less than you would recommend and are far healthier for it. A few days fasting (and I doubt anyone is actually not eating at all) never does anyone any harm.

Watched a fantastic programme last night about a juice diet, my husband is going to give that a go, 60 days only juiced fruit and vegetables. He did a similar one a few years ago and felt brilliant on it.

It has been proved we all eat far too much and eating less is actually good for us.

And back to dinners - had lettuce and a vegetarian sausage today and hopefully when I weigh in next week I will have cracked the 4 stones lost mark.

I am grazing on fruit, nuts and salad, Uncle Joe, so don’t worry - I will survive!

No darlin’ - that’s not right - you need the rabbit itself instead of the rabbit food!!!

Well I’ve just had a lovely tuna salad for breakfast (after walking the dog at 7am) and lunch will be in a pub at about 12.30pm, then fruit for tea, I wake up hungry so that’s when I eat most. Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince and Dine like a Pauper.
