What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Tonight I had a very large piece of haddock with peas and rice etc.

:lol::lol::lol:

Just realised I forgot to have lunch and supper !

No gourmet meal here tonight :-), I ate the leftovers from my Granddaughters birthday lunch and a chunk off the free huge Toblerone which I was given in Waitrose this morning .

I don’t normally eat chocolate and now feel ill :-(.

well I hope you’re not expecting sympathy.:-(;-)

…no Hazel :frowning: but I wish I hadn’t eaten it .
The dilemma is this, do I eat it all quickly to get it out of the way or freeze it so I can only eat a bit at time. I could always post it off to UJ

you leave poor UJ alone :018: he can get himself in enough trouble as it is with his less than slimming appetite
Ooooh can you freeze chocolate?? I never thought of that. Hmmmmm :017: I know someone that loves chocolate but I never know when I’ll see him.
BTW I had smoked gammon new pots sweetcorn and runner beans with cheese sauce. Followed by bananas and custard.
I’ve got strawbs for 8p a punnet from Tesco tonight (thinking of dipping them in melted choc) and a strawb topped cream cake + some packs of tropical fruit 5p & 6p.

Sounds very good to me Hazel.

:lol::lol: Yes please Meg darlin’ albeit I’m not allowed sugar and chocolate anymore, but I’ll risk it.

You should be cutting the the carbs drastically too UJ it’s the only way to control diabetes.

Boiled egg with green salad today and my weekly allowance of 100g of oven chips.

Home made mushroom (not cream of) or tomato and basil soup followed by smoked cod loin with poached egg on top,new pots green beans and finishing off with choc dipped strawbs and ice cream. Friend here for the weeked.

Well tonight we will not be cooking we are going to have a take away, looking forward to a noodle dish of some sort. Just worked three full weeks so think I deserve a night off.

so you do and enjoy yourself

Had to attend ‘Vampire’ (Warfarin) clinic this morning - am in trouble, my INR has dropped below target, so they’ve increased my daily dose of warfarin and I have to return next week too. So to console myself, I went to a ‘greasy spoon’ cafe and had a ‘full english’ breakfast - it was fab!!!

Now I’m not sure what to have for my lunch - could have a steak & Kidney pud but on top of a ‘full english’ this might be too much - will wait till mid afternoon and see if I feel hungry again.

Only had a salad today.

I’ve been told off at the Diabetic Clinic today, I had the Red Alert!!, have now got to do a Food Diary and go on a Diet and see her again in 2 wks.

Using bits up today, used a leek, tomato and some mushrooms and made a soup. Used up some ham and meat eater will be having salad with a baked potato.

Julie you have just reminded me I have some portobello mushroom I bought yesterday :-).

I am going to do them in a cream sauce and serve with garlic bread. That is this evening sorted…

Breaded Chicken and Oven chips tonight.

Chicken Tikka, Rice and Nann Bread, as it’s my birthday today 29!!!

Happy Birthday Susie darlin’ - have a good 'un.

As Sunday has come round again, time for ‘traditional’ Sunday roast - chicken, potatoes, parsnips, carrots and onions. Have a cherry lattice pasty sitting in my freezer, may heat that through for a ‘pudding’ with custard poured over it.
